[MOC] Friends Cargo Train

Recommended Posts

Presenting my LEGO Friends Cargo Train.

Move heavy goods around Heartlake with the Friends Cargo Train. This awesome Power Functions motorized train can transport anything your Friends hearts' desire. Your goods will arrive safely and on time with engineer Andrea at the controls. It has an aquarium car transporting fishes the aquarium or lake. The two flat cars carry a skid loader and a helicopter plus a fuel tank.

I built this for next month's kids picnic as something for the girls. I had some 7740/7725 influence in the locomotive. There was some inspiration from the 60098 Heavy Haul train.

6 AAA batteries are not included.

Now that's the helicopter worth buying....

The dolphin tanker and the skidsteer are also pretty good. Way to channel the inspiration of the heavy haul train into the friends model.

That purple helicopter is rockin'! :)

Thanks. It is rocking lipstick tipped flick-fired rockets under the wings. :classic:

I normally don't like Lego Friends, but when I do, I think it's awesome! Nice job, very good idea!

Thank you. :classic:

Sorry I missed this thread earlier, but this is a very nice, creative train built around the friends theme. Nice use of the dolphins and I like the fence pieces for the grilles in the locomotive. Great Work!

Thanks. I displayed it last weekend at a kids picnic. The dolphins seemed to be a hit with the kids. I probably should have included the cattle and car from 60052 and see if it gets the same reaction.

Maybe it is special charter train to take fans to the event. I believe in Amtrak in America has trains and special fare for the NFL Football Superbowl.
