Futuristic dumper

This is what i built for exhibition. It features 8 wheel drive, articulated steering, 2 LA's for dumping the load and a unique system for totaing wheel pairs. This systema llows the truck to increase its ground distance for rough terrain.

I later refined axles for higher gear ratio.

I really love this.

I've always wanted to build a lego RC car but i don't have the skill that you and others have. How complicated is it to start building one of these models? Is it a lot of shoot and miss trying to get everything working well?

Not really... After you build as long as i have, things just somehow fit with no problems. It took me some 8 hours to build this mode.

After i changed the gear ratio in the wheels, the speed is now arround 30 cm/second.

Wow, that is very confusing, looking at the undercarriage without a lot of technic knowledge. I am really impressed with the mobility it has, and I love the dual sets of wheels in the front, it makes it look very industrial.

This is a great design. The wheel bogie assemblies are very clever and would make a great basis for a hybrid Technic/Space creation.

I like how your models are moderately sized but are full of interesting and unique functions, and this one is no exception.
