[Render] XV104 Riptide by The Mugbearer, on Flickr

The XV104 Riptide Battlesuit is one of the latest Tau Earth Caste innovations, designed to combat the most dangerous enemies of the Tau Empire. Powered by an experimental Dark Matter Nova Reactor and equipped with an arsenal of highly advanced weapon systems, the XV104 Riptide is the pinnacle of Tau Battlesuit technology. Standing twice the height of an XV8 Crisis Battlesuit, the XV104 is the epitome of Tau ingenuity and technology. Its long, back-jointed legs hold up a heavily armoured torso that houses the Riptide’s Dark Matter Nova Reactor -- an experimental power generator that can be activated should the Shas’vre pilot require extra power to sustain his heavy rate of fire. The XV104 carries a sleek Riptide Shield Generator on one arm and a Heavy Burst Cannon, which can be exchanged for an Ion Accelerator, on the other. To provide manoeuvrability, the XV104 Riptide Battlesuit is also equipped with a large Jetpack that juts out from its shoulder blades.

Very cool! And probably cheaper to build than buying a games-workshop mini these days.

I used to play Tau a few years back and this would have been a lifesaver for testing out new units and arsenal configurations.

I have to agree  and consider our Lego hobby is not a cheap one but GW prices are going a little out of control.

Anyway, since I know how GW react to fan made things every time I think about some "Warhammer 40K in Lego" project I remember of all the problems several fans had just to have mentioned the brand in the blogs etc.

They also made, a failed, a huge case just because someone used "Space Marine" in a book (even though the name is around since about 1930  )

Btw, I really like the Skyrim reference in your signature :classic:
