Garmadon

[G:A15, U vs DK] To War!

Recommended Posts

The mighty Ulandian army advances into the center of Desert King territory. Although they have quickly constructed an important coastal stronghold, the mummified - and other - followers of the false Desert King stand no chance against the Ulandian host!

A very fun experiment with mirrors! Although I would certainly like to use a mirror with a build again I don't think I'll try two again for a while! :laugh:Here's a picture of the setup I used, and the build is actually a total of 6x20 studs.

Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!

And yes, there should be another Ulandian guerrilla to help mine out pretty soon!

Whoa! I thought you went a little insane with bricklinking before I realized that you used mirrors! Nice work!

Very clever! I wish there was more to your GAs than a bunch of helmets that nobody else has, that's the third one in a row....

Haha, I have the helmet. What I don't have is the gold bucket Handle! They helmets are really not that rare, it is Lord Garmadon's (from Ninjago) starting from the second wave onwards ( he wears this helmet in every set he has 4 arms)

Edit: Also for the other 2 GA you can use the regular old samurai helmet, which is very common.

Very nice concept here Garmadon, and impressive army there!:thumbup:

...A very fun experiment with mirrors!...

Fun? If it were me, I would have said painful.

You need to get into Ninjago! They're plentiful as bananas there!

Both Garmadon and Samurai X used the helmets; Samurai with the bucket handle.

The mirrors really give this a unique, foggy look. I've thought of using them myself but for other reasons. Good imagination for sure!

Thanks all!

Ha, ha! Thanks LordDan!

That is so genius!

Thanks GG!

Thanks robuko! I think you've forgotten this? Also, as the others have pointed out, the helmet is not really very rare and samurai helmets work just as well :classic:

Thanks! Yes, it was a little painful!

Great work! I really like the micro wall and the mirror effect is very nice

Thanks LJ, glad you like it!

Thanks Captain Dee! I was quite happy with the foggy look myself! I know Kai and others have used a mirror as reflecting water, which is certainly far easier than using two like this!

Hmmm, the mirror is a cool idea to double up an MOC.

Thanks Mrcp6d! It more like quadruples it here though!

Sweet looking troop Garmadon! The spears look awesome.

Just wondering, if I were to counter this, could I avoid the mirrors and just go with a bigger base? (I was thinking about 24x20, as this is about what the build/mirrors presents :classic: ). My wife wouldn't like it if I start ripping mirrors off the walls of our home.

Imho the mirrors are making the base invinite, so their should be no size limitation :P

Give me a base big enough, and I'll show you what Nocturnus sets against your bling bling army.

Thanks ME! Supposing it's up to me I would say a 24x20 would be fine, although I would prefer a counter which also uses mirrors and the same base size if possible (after all, a lot of my work went into getting the mirrors just right and getting a good picture!) I can certainly see your not wanting to rip mirrors off the walls though!

Ha, ha! I wouldn't say quite infinite as you need to get the picture from somewhere which really limits the size! As I said to MassEditor, I think you could go with a 20x24, but I would prefer a counter using the mirrors

I see the Ulandians have to resort to using cheap illusions to make themselves appear numerous. On the other hand, very inventive, I applaud the effort sir.

I was also wondering how you managed the large increase of troops from 3-5 to "infinite"....

That was a very good trick with the mirror

Ha, ha, thanks Captain B!

At least the mummies can't tell the difference! Ha, ha, thanks!

Neat effect with the mirrors  It'd be nice to see a standard shot though :classic:

Thanks SK! I was going to upload one but it didn't turn out very well (and wasn't nearly as impressive!)
