When I saw Brickscape Separatist Escort Starfighter, I tought it would be cool to have a carrier spaceship that can launch these little starfighters.

So I've spent the last two days working on it.
First I did a little starfighter, similar to Brickscape's one.

Then I started to imagine how to put some of theses inside a ship. And here is the result:

I've used a very modular structure. There is a main body module which hold one starfighter and an "end" module for front and rear.

Building a ship require a front module, a rear module, and as many body module as you want. Here I've used 4 of them. You can also link body module to have multiple rows of fighter, but I think two rows is a max.

Each module can receive small side modules, such as laser turrets or an escape pods.

The "end" modules are designed to receive specific modules like command deck or engines, they can also receive side modules and front (or rear) pair of specifics module, like smalls engines or communication array, etc...

The main modules are 20 studs long, and the side modules  are 10 or 20 studs long, so you can place them the way you like.
For example you can go full turrets on the left, and nothing n the right, and no escape pods, nobody abandons the ship!!

Here is the structure used for the pics, without sides modules

Wow, fantastic, the fact that this is modular makes it so much better. Great design on the fighters as well.

Sadly it will stay as a concept... Expect if someone is willing to build it.

Thank you.
Even If I build it as a concept, I still wanted it to have the most modularity, what I had in mind was selling sets with parts of the ship, and allow people to build their own modules to customize even more their ships.

Updated forst post with pictures I've forgotten.

What a nice and well thought out concept! The modularity is just fantastic, you can customize the ship any way you see fit. Great idea!  Looking at a more detailed level, i have to say i really like the design of the fighter and also the turret! :sweet:
