  1. this would be a dream come true! although I could never afford such a set haha Jabba's palace has always been one of my favorite locales from the SW films--and I love specially moulded alien pieces!
  2. I know I'm probably in the minority with this, but I wish LEGO would release sets with a greater variety of named characters--as opposed to so many that focus on various types of clone troopers / stormtroopers. I've been playing through LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga again, and it just reminds me of how many of these characters have either never been released as minifigures, or have been released once many years ago and now go for insane amounts of money on the aftermarket. Here are some of the characters I would love for LEGO to release (or rerelease): Boss Nass Zam Wesell Queen Amidala (any of her Phantom Menace costumes) Aayla Secura Count Dooku Lando Calrissian (Bespin attire) Kit Fisto Babu Frik
  3. While this certainly sounds cool, I'll never be able to afford a $500 set (heck, a $100 set is pushing it for me)--so I hope some of these characters (Jabba, Bib Fortuna, Max Rebo, etc.) eventually become available in sets that are more affordable.

I actually really like it too! It's not one I would buy for myself, but I have a daughter who turns 10 this summer and I know she will love this. And while I generally prefer minifigures, I actually think Joy works really well as a minidoll!

Plus, this theme seems to have a relatively large budget for new parts--think about all of the great new molds it has given us since its most recent reboot!

It's well outside of my normal budget as well, but I might start putting some money aside to save up for it. One of the nice things about these big 18+ Collector's sets is that they typically have a longer shelf life than sets from Lego's regular range have. That should give me some time to find the $$. Because it really is a great-looking set, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been one of my favorite Disney films since I was a kid.

just found that image, and yes--it definitely hinges open, and the side-thatching of the roof comes off for easier access to the upstairs. it's a shame they couldn't find a way to include the staircase, but I get it--staircases take up a lot of space and pieces, and there is already a lot going on here. I'm guessing that Grumpy's organ will be included underneath the bedroom in the space that's not visible in the image. overall I really like it. I'll just have to determine if it's worth saving up for the whole thing, or if I would be better off just BrickLinking some of the figures (I'm definitely leaning towards purchasing the whole set).

Honestly, I have mixed feelings on this. The minifig lineup is perfect--zero complaints there! I just feel like this could have been a slightly smaller set, which would have brought the cost down a bit--something more in line with #43217 The 'Up' House. But given the fact that the set really needed at least 8 minifigures (Snow White + 7 dwarfs), maybe the higher price point was inevitable.

Thank you for sharing these! there are some great concepts here that I would love to see Lego produce (although I realize this is a fan artist). I'd especially love to get some Emperor's New Groove figures. I know it's not one of those films that typically gets a lot of merchandise, but the characters are so fun and a lot of my fellow Millennials adore the film! As for the leaked pictures of the dwarfs, I love what we've seen so far! The noses were always going to be an issue, given how prominent they are in the original character designs, but I think the minifigures look fine without them. I'll be curious to see if the set includes any characters other than Snow White and the dwarfs--maybe a reissue of The Queen/Witch or The Prince? Their inclusion isn't necessary, but I definitely wouldn't mind it--same goes for the woodland creatures who play a decent sized part in the original film.

Dopey has long been not only my favorite dwarf, but also my favorite Disney character--so I am so excited to see this! Technically, his pants are supposed to be light blue and should be visible under his overlong green shirt, but since TLG's ability to print on those short legs is super limited, I don't mind the compromise.

Do the Cars characters really count as minifigures??? I'll be very curious to see what the minifigures (or mini-dolls) for an Inside Out set look like. The character designs (especially for Fear, Sadness, and Anger) don't really lend themselves to minifigure proportions. But then again, neither did Carl Fredricksen or Mr. Incredible--and those figures ended up looking great!
  13. I was mainly listening for the "clinking" of the two axe heads. Not sure if that helps much.
  14. Just popping in here to say that I got lucky last night and pulled a Vampire Knight from Walmart! The QR codes were the small ones, and I don't have a scale--so I just went by "sound the pieces make when I shake the box." It really is a fantastic figure--a great tribute to a classic design, while still feeling fresh and in-line with modern LEGO.

Latest news about Lego animal moulds

I would LOVE to get a giraffe (we got awfully close this last year when a giraffe appeared in a Friends set). I'd also love for them to update the parrot mold. I associate the old one (the one that was often printed) with a lot of LEGO's best "retro" themes: Castle (where it was unprinted and grey), Pirates, Islanders, etc. I feel like a South American setting for these new sets makes the most sense, given the fact that we recently had a City subtheme that focused on African animals. Regardless, I am excited to see what the designers come up with!
