How does this normally work? Do you get a voucher in the paper on say the Monday & if you go into Toys R Us you can collect any toy? Or the toy for that day?

Can you go in at the end of the week with 6/7 vouchers and collect all the toys? (assuming they haven't ran out)

Inside each paper, each day, there's a token which you cut out and take to the participating shop. The voucher can only be exchanged on that day for that specific toy i.e. the X-wing on Saturday but you can exchange as many vouchers as you want. When Sunday comes it's a different voucher and a different toy.

In some cases they may have one or two left over to the next day if you bring in the appropriate token but quite often they're all gone by the next day.

I found a page related to the promotionn on the New of the World site (I've updated my first post).

I will be getting those. There is often a send off coupon as well, to get them all, that is my plan.

Thanks for the Heads up. I wish it was from a better paper though.

Think of it this way - You're buying some polybags for 30p, and it comes with some free toilet paper default_devg1.gif

Anyone know if it's WHSmiths in Scotland as the last one with the Mirror was Co-op & TRU (I'm hoping it's Co-op)

It's nice to see that some the formally exclusives sets are now available over there. Share the wealth.

Out of curiosity, how many tokens (or newspapers) do you need to redeem one set?

Interesting news! Thanks for sharing pedro! Once again, it's our lucky friends from the UK who'll have the privilege of getting these sweet promo deals. I might have to ask my UK contacts to get me one of those.

This is fantastic- if you live next to whsmiths or TRU- I am 15 miles away- so this is no good for me :(

There have been multiple reports that they WILL NOT be posting these either :(

The sun has been quite clever by putting the jack sparrow minifigure in the Sunday paper- it is a £1! The rest of the week it's 30p.

I am really gutted as I would have happily sent off for these, for me to get the set I would have to drive 210 miles!!!! Is there any chance of Coop in England doing this promo?

None South of the border. Last year I tried getting them at WHSmiths up in Scotland & they looked at me like I had 2 heads, looked at the ad in the Scottish Sun & it was TRU & Co-operative/Scot Mid. I'm hoping this one will be the same

You get the cool promos that we don't get through TRU & Target like the Toy Story Alien ship polybag, would've loved one of those but we didn't get them here

Heard this second-hand last night and I see it on their website now (just barely - a small front-page ad half-way down). Seems to be a voucher thing similar to the Daily Mirror promotions, except that the stuff is claimed through WHSmith or Toys'R'Us. Neither of which chains operates in the Republic, so I don't know if I'll be able to get them. The models include an X-wing and a Pharoah's Quest car driven by Jake.

Dunno why it was moved from the Mirror to the Sun. I mean, the Mirror was bad enough....
