How do you make a lego trailer?

Recommended Posts

You find the trailer on Youtube, and either download just the audio, or download the whole thing and then rip out the audio.

There are plenty of sites and programs that can do that, so just look around and find your favorite.

I actually came to this forum to ask this question, and then I saw it had already been asked for me!

Is the audio copyrighted, or can I use it however I want with impunity? And can I also use some of the trailer's visuals? (I'm planning on making a Lone Ranger trailer, but don't know if I can copy the title at the end.)

As I know it, as with using snippits of video and audio in parodys (Honest trailers, Cinema Sins, ect) brickfilm lego trailers using actual audio and video should be legal.

As with anything in the USA, you can be sued for using another's intellectual property or work. You can be somewhat protected under Fair Use laws, but the owner can still ask for your video to be removed and YouTube (or wherever) will remove it immediately. They might or might not contact you to let you know after.

Though you are probably safe as an animator of Lego elements (which might be parody or fan creations), If possible, it's always best to use "royalty free", music under Creative Commons licence, or music you have paid to licence (or made yourself).

True, True. Heck, I used the full SW Theme in my Video and all Disney did was put a couple of ads. As long as they make money, I don't think they care.

Youtubeinmp4 is good: https://www.youtubeinmp4.com/

This YouTube downloader also does the good job: http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/youtubeinmp4-downloader.html

It's a good review on youtubeinmp4, as well.

I'm not a moderator or anything but, you should not bump old Threads.  Especially when his problem was already solved.
