What size should custom decorations be?

Recommended Posts

Related...Okay, so I made the decals just fine, I scaled them to the correct sizes...then I went to the decorations tab on LDD2PovRay, and it gave me this error message:

"Year, Month and Day parameters describe an un-representable DateTime"

What does this mean, and what does it have to do with decorations?

Image dimensions are not important, larger images will give you more smooth result on detailed renders.

It just has to be square image (aspect ratio 1:1).

I just created and used a custom decoration that was 100 pixels high by 400 pixels wide, PNG format in Photoshop, to go onto a 1x4 tile - works great. Kudos to the people behind LDD, LDD2POVRay, and POVRay

well, actually, LDD internal decors are 128x128 pixels .png

Point of fact, some (in the last update, at least) are 256x256. :)
