MOC TT-S13

Hi!

My 13th TT is an evolved TT-S12 with kinks worked out. Now there are 2 PF-L motors for propulsion and only 2 wheel steering. U-joints don't pop out anymore. It works very well and will probably replace my TT-S08 in TT races.

Well done! I like how the new, lightweight Lego PF L-Motors are used here, the easy-access Battery Box, and the suspension is unique. At only 850 grams, it has GREAT climbing ability!

Great work there. I see you improved the suspesnion, so it cannot fall apart anymore. You used V2 receiver?

I would love to build a crawler similar to yours. Would it be stronger using xl motors?

@Zblj: Tnx, yes V2 receiver is used.

@timslegos: Truck is build around L motors with their anchor points as a base for chassis parts. If you can squeeze XL motors in there then it would be more powerfull. :) HERE are instructions for my TT-S08D which uses XL motors and preforms very well.

Are those springs able to fully extend, or are the permanently stressed? I can't tell from the video.

Do you have any issues with the 16t gears mounted on the motors popping off under stress? They don't appear to be locked into place at all.

I think the battery keeps the from sliding out.

Springs are not 100% extended while driving. When I lift the truck up and place it on a flat surface, they are fully extended. Can permanent stress damage the springs?

Yes, the battery keeps 16t gears from sliding out. This creates a little friction and wastes some power but it's not really a big deal.

Great moc, you made the axles very compact. But it's a crawler, not a TT. Truck trial(TT) means trucks in hard terrain, at least Unimog or similar.

No, they shouldn't be damaged if you do that.
