TheLegGodt Posted January 28, 2015 Just wondering, has anyone heard whether TLG will release a second wave of 5 Mini Modulars just as they did for the first 5 modulars a number of years ago? I really enjoyed that set, almost as much as building their bigger brothers. Since we are now counting 10 modulars I can imagine the next 5 mini modulars are due... fred67 Posted January 29, 2015 Would be neat, but I think they replicated some of the more recent sets with TRU "Bricktober" sets. They are not all quite the same, but some are pretty close. TheLegGodt Posted January 29, 2015 Thanks for pointing those out Fred! I had no idea these existed, very frustrating that they only put them out in the US. Being a European company one might think that Europe gets special treatment but all we get are higher prices and a miss on this kind of sets... But that being said, those mini modulars are nothing like the kind of mini modulars that would exist if they were derived from their larger counterparts. And TLG does tend to honour traditions, so who knows we may still get a new set of 5. Here's hoping but for now then no information to go on so it seems... This also includes the new Detectives office as well https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88845 However there hasn't been too much support for it. However i did see it posted on a few lego news sites such as Lego Gizmodo http://lego.gizmodo.com/this-mini-lego-detectives-office-completes-the-block-1673059330 Lets try to garner some more support for it! So if they continue along this line this set will be released in two years.. I really hope they will make this set and release it asap, as I like this scale a lot. Thanks for sharing this Incomplet! It has my vote and I wonder maybe it has less votes because it looks just like the set that LEGO would produce i.e. People expect this to be released anyway? I think both normal and mini are great and so far I have been very pleased that both have existed. I bought a second set for my father who has been very impressed with my Modulars collection. He really liked having a smaller version (he's not an AFOL like me - his generation does not really know LEGO). Fingers crossed it will see the day of light...
