tin7_creations Posted January 24, 2009 Another addition to my DMC. I rarely create villains, however, the challenge to create this rambunctious idiot is just too hard to refuse. Hence, I give you Gaston, from the hit Disney movie Beauty and the Beast (1991). The decal and hair are custom made. I also created the better (and hotter) half of Aladdin: Princess Jasmine The decal for Jasmine was done by LuxorV, thank you so much!
LuxorV Posted January 24, 2009 Again, great customs tin7 I didn't remember the name of the first guy (Gaston, of course), but it came immediately into focus who he was: the bad guy from Beauty and the Beast! You did a fantastic job on those hairs ; they are unmistakable! I'm glad you like the Jasmine decal, and I'd say it came out quie well indeed. Maybe I should darken the green tone a bit; but maybe it's just due to the paper . You could make an experiment by tring (on another print, if you want) to stick a bit of transparent adhesive tape on it; it should give it a bit more dark and shiny (semi-plastic) look. Bricks Posted January 24, 2009 And again great work I love your now 4th Disney figure collection. The hair's of Gaston are outstanding....How did you made them? Princess Jasmine look's now better than before, but a little hint, the colour of her decal is not that flesh like TLC use... Greetings 'Bricks'

Greetings 'Bricks' The Gaston hair is sculpted with sculpey... what I normally do, is take a huge block of sculpey, cure it, and use an exacto knife to sculpt out the shape I want, then spray it with a clear coat. hope that helps. As for the Jasmine skin... I know it's not the light flesh tone, it's more brownish in color, like the Native warriors in the Indy sets, but I don't have those heads, so I just chose to use a flesh tone. Thanks for the comments! tin7

ED-209 Posted February 2, 2009 Haha! Gaston is by far my favourite of your Disney figures! That guy was such a colossal prat that even seeing him in Lego form makes me chuckle!
