Hello

This is my second post on this site so I hope there is nothing wrong with it and if there is any errors please feel free to tell me

The purpose of this post is to show you my conversion of the Ninjago 70603 Raid Zeppelin.

There you go. I hope you like it and if there are any improvements that you think of please feel free to let me know and I will do my best to do them. I am sorry for the poor image quality I may try and get some better pictures.

You probably know but the sail is A not very good and B is only held on by duct tape :pir_laugh2:

I think that its really great how you transformed the theme of the set  .

Also that pirate flag feels like its backwards to me.pirate_sceptic.gif

(Just noticed that different sub forums have different emoticons thats quite cool.)

Thank you I new that when I saw this set I had to convert it to a sailing ship pirate_laugh2.gif

You converted a flying thing into a sailing one. So welcome to pirates of the 7 seas!

I was surprising easy to do which made it a joy to do pir_laugh2.gif

It's reassuring to know these Ninjago "pirate" sets can be put to good use.

At a cursory glance it seemed only Tiger Widow Island was remotely decent - come to think of it, remove all the techno crap and it would make a half decent set in the original Ninja theme.

As far as I remember Milady from A. Dumas' "The 3 Musketeers" movie stole English drawings of a sailing battleship with a baloon to make the ship fly. Artilery couldn't hit Zeppelins even during WW I. So having Zeppelin pirates would be invincible. But I agree that removing all the techno crap will make all pirate creations look better, just as in your case. what do you think?

I think that this is the easiest set to convert but it is possible to do with other ones

Looks great!

Maybe for your next sail attempt you should punch holes in the cloth and thread the axles through them. Or check out the other sail tutorials on this site which were recently compiled here.

Looks good, keep building!

I would like to get this set, but I was not going to plan on any type conversion into a pirate vessel. It turned out better than I thought.

Instead of a gaff sail, I would recommend a junk sail. I made junk sails years ago with paper from a brown paper bag. :pir-laugh:

I think the flag is fine since it's vertical. The wind would be blowing it in that direction. :pir-wink:

I would have placed the flag on the mast.

Our Pirate Emoticons work in the entire Forum. :bonaparte:
