don leopold Posted January 2, 2016 Hello guys, I want to show you my first pirate moc, most of my mocs are castle mocs. I made this moc for a contest from lowlug, you must make a moc based on a official lego set but you must change the theme. The pirate moc i made is based on a friends set, it is set 41019 turtle's little oasis. And this is my moc and it is called : pirate's little oasis. I hope you like it, if you want to see more pictures link to my flickr account. https://www.flickr.c...157662305226089
blackdeathgr Posted January 2, 2016 I prefer your version anytime!!
Franco Clarke Posted January 2, 2016 Second that! The fancy base helps set off the detailed scene contained within, I especially like the sailing boat!
mallou Posted January 3, 2016 fantastic! great choice of colors, I like it that even the turtle seems to refer your version :) keep it up
JackSparrowsBricks Posted January 3, 2016 Lego friends is just so bland, you add so much to the pirate oasis
Amon-Rukh Posted January 4, 2016 What a wonderful scene! The garden out back does seen a bit overgrown - I'd probably use a saber to trim the plants too. I love the guy in the tub, also. He really seems like he's having a good time!
PeroTheLegoman Posted January 5, 2016 Beautiful scene :)

Plaid Beard Posted January 5, 2016 This is great! Your landscaping is excellent, and your use of plants really makes the scene come to life.
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 5, 2016 Your version is far better than the friends version Excellent foilage.
Capn Frank Posted January 5, 2016 Great MOC. You added a lot of great detail in your build. Lego friends is just so bland, you add so much to the pirate oasis Lego Friends is not bland. They have many shades of pink and purple included in most sets.
dr_spock Posted January 5, 2016 Good work. Plenty of space for the turtle to play.
Austin Overboard Posted January 6, 2016 Such a nice sunny MOC to see on a cold grey Copenhagen day. :-) Really like the diamond bubble bath and palm roof details.
Staslegomaster Posted January 7, 2016 Such a nostalgic view! This is a small but very picturesque pirate creation with some interesting , eyecatching details. It reminds of a few pirate sets of early 1990-s, golden age of LEGO pirates. I can see some pieces from those ages - am I right?
Iria Posted January 25, 2016 Excellent re-imagining of the Turtle Oasis set! I really like the unruly foliage around the hut, as it gives a feeling of seclusion. You've added lots of nice details.
don leopold Posted January 26, 2016 Thanks again for the nice compliments !!
don leopold Posted February 25, 2016 The last weeks i am learning how to change the background of my moc-pictures into a nice and relax color. I always used a white blanket as background but as you can see the pictures looks a little bit messy. From this moc i made a new picture and change the background color, see the difference with an old picture with a white blanket.
iammac Posted March 14, 2016 Rub-a-dub-dub, one-Bub-in-a-tub. And whiskey. I do like your rendition!
Gunman Posted March 25, 2016 Really great moc with an amazing folliage That 2x4 red. brown tile near the stairs has sticker or its printed?
BrickCurve Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Excellent job. The sea, hut, palm trees and ship compliment it really well. The only thing I can think of is that the sand is rather angular, making it out of 1 x 2 plates would improve it a lot.
