Racers 2010

Recommended Posts

You have been around long enough to know that this is not a good start of a thread.

Can´t you write something more constructive then that?

Hey, it's supposed to be an '010 set discussion thread, what do I say?

Adding a one line sentence doesn't value add the above discussion at all... In the opening post, you only state that you want to see Tiny Turbos, but is there any known fact that Racer series on the Tiny Turbos are going to be out for 2010? There is no set list to start with, and I don't really know how this discussion can probably lead to... Why don't you improve the first post...

I saw in the dealercatalog of my local lego dealer today

7967, 7968,7970, 7971 are bigger cars with a footpump on it. You attach the car to the pump. You kick on the pump and the car rides away

7970 Hero is a policecar

8192 Lime racer, 8193 Blue bullit, 8194 nitro muscle (dark blue), 8195 Turbo Tow (red) are normal tiny turbo's.

The others 8196-8199 are bigger sets with a fold-in box

Well, I emailed the lego company about half a year ago about quitting the TT line and they said they had no plans on doing it. I doubt they'd change their minds so soon. Besides, I saw them in the background pics of the Russian fair thing about a month ago.

Could you please take pictures next time you're there? I'm really excited at this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Or could you be so kind as to describe them a bit more?

Raphy: I cannot take pictures because my local lego dealer would get problems with it.

But they never said anything about writing up something about the new sets

Thank you so much, whung!

I like the cop car and the yellow tractor rig, though the other two just look lame to me. What's the rocky tunnel they're going through too? Again, thanks a lot. :D You mind if I post this on my flickr account, with credit? You can note them there. ;D

Hello all! I just picked up 8197 and 7968 today at Toys R' Us here in the States. I thought I'd share some pics. I can't seem to find my good camera at the moment, so for now all I have are scans and some cell pics. If I find my camera, I'll do a full review on these two.

First off, in addition to 8197, TRU had 8198 and 8196:

But, I decided no to pick these up as I liked the police car in 8197.

Here are some pics of it:

Some of the more unique pieces:

The big gray tile is made of more of a bendy plastic. The white tile is the new plate piece that is being seen in a lot of 2010 sets.

Now for 7968:

TRU had the 819X sets for $14.99 and the 796X sets for $12.99, so it would seem TRU is charging MSRP for these.

Again, sorry for the poor quality. If anyone has any questions about them, feel free to ask!

Stay calm, raphy... stay calm...

Thank you so much. Have you seen the stand-alones that come in the cans?

Nope... Other than what was pictured, the only other racer set they had was the 7967.

Darn! I was hoping for mini motorcycles in Chopper Jump, not a helicopter! That name is very misleading! However, I really like Ramp Crash and the standalone Tiny Turbos! I also think Strong (the yellow truck) is awesome!
