CCC XIII - Young Dryads: The Sylvaneth Sisters

Summoned by the Archdruid in spring, young dryads are one of nature's most beautiful spectacles. Be sure though that your motives are clean and in line with the law of the goddess or else be prepared to be reunified with the soil you came from. The Sylvaneth Sisters are still young and hoping to become one of the hardened tall adult dryads one day. Their song might be the last you hear:

Like a priceless jewel buried in dark layers of soil and stone

Earth radiates her brilliant beauty into the caverns of space and time

Perhaps you are aware of those who watch over your home

And experience it as a place to visit and play with reality

You are becoming aware of yourself as a game master

Imagine Earth restored to her real beauty

Steady trees seem to brush the deep blue sky

The clouds billow to form majestic peaks

The songs of birds fill the air

Creating a symphony upon symphony

The goddess is calling for an honoring

Of what she allows to be created

Through the form of strength and blood

List of customization techniques:

- get the drill: hole drilled in hairpiece to attach leaves (no glue needed)

- branching out: the weapon consists of a claw (painted), a piece of leaf and a handle

- shields up: in order to close the hole in the mushroom piece, I cut and painted a piece of antenna

These are the only figs I allow to be fleshie, because they do not have a human (i.e. yellow) skin tone anyway.

Wow, that looks really impressive! I like the mood this brings to me - and the use of parts from various themes (Poison Ivy from Super Heroes, hair from LotR). Also I like that the skin tone comes off pretty pale (maybe these are your photography / lighting skills, though), it makes the green even stronger and a truly beautiful figure.

The body is from which minifig? Also, could you try a variation with the body from the Plant Monster from series 14? The claw/leaf weapon thing is great.

Thank you. It is Poison Ivy, the Batman villain. I have a Plant Monster here somwhere and I tried using it, but I found the colors to be too bright and aggressive. Almost neon. I'll see if I can find it.
