Still Raindrop Posted December 31, 2010 Hello, everyone! Recently I've been fiddling around with microscale. I wanted to build a lighthouse, but didn't have enough pieces to make one in minifig scale. So here is Rossville's first microscale building: Cape Donna Lighthouse (named after my wife's aunt, who loves lighthouses). Let me know what you think. def Posted December 31, 2010 That's lovely! I like the color choice and the detailing of the rocks and water. The only part that's a little off is the raised path. In micro-scale, one stud looks a lot higher than the area next to it. But good job!
MightySlickPancake Posted December 31, 2010 Very nice Mariko . You have captured a lighthouse very well in micro-scale. I hope you do more micro-scale works. Thanks, CB
XimenaPaulina Posted January 1, 2011 That's a very nice micro-scale creation Mariko! The lighthouse is spot-on and the rock formations and water are very well executed in micro build. Great job!
buddy Posted January 1, 2011 Great microscale MOC! It is very realistic and highly detailed. I too particularly like the way you have done the cliffs and the sea. Very well done. ~buddy~
SilentMode Posted January 1, 2011 That is a pretty good microscale vignette! You've used all the right pieces in building the lighthouse, and the rock and water detail isn't bad either.

In micro-scale, one stud looks a lot higher than the area next to it. But good job! Indeed, I'm a bit unhappy with that, as well. I don't think I have enough green plates to fix it at the moment, but I'll put more on my Bricklink list.
Admiral Croissant Posted January 4, 2011 Yes changing the path would be a nice improvement (perhaps keeping the same elevation as the grass but just a different colour for the path. You could also try to make it with SNOT-water. But the lighthouse and the rocks look excellent. Well done
