As the sun set on the fifth day of the ordeal on the HMS Brutal, Zerard Wolfe (Zepher) is revealed as King Finnerty D. Colsh. For a split second, the remaining members of the Royal Court's hearts sink as they realize that all is lost.

002.jpg

Cuthber Neal Memlow runs up at the last second and grabs the King's crown, as King Colsh disappears out of sight below the flying ship.

003.jpg

"Ha ha, jerks!" Cuthber Neal Memlow / Kerkong (CorneliusMurdock) laughs as the sun disappears below the horizon, "Now I'm the King! And I knew exactly where my pants were this whole time!"

004.jpg

"You Scumbag!" Clemence Blanchfield cries as she runs forward.

005.jpg

"Why do you get to be King?" Clemence Blanchfield / Eregor (Cecilie) cries, "I want to be the new King!"

006.jpg

Polly Altamont / Officer Bumble (Pandora), Bess Bulton / Silas Gil Large the Jester (Bob) and Charles Pleasance / Chief Grumble (CallMePieOrDie) watch helplessly as their former King's crown is argued over.

"You!" Silas cries, "Our King knew you were the Kensmy Assassins! He was so wise. He was onto the two of you!"

"The King we just helped lynch?" Officer Bumble asked.

"Yeah, that's the one." Silas admitted sadly.

007.jpg

"Now, it's your turn, funny man!" Eregor laughs as he lunges towards the jester with his knife.

008.jpg

"Hold it right there!" Chief Grumble says as he steps in the way of the attack, "You can't harm him! I've got a lock."

"Oh yeah?" Eregor says, "Um ... and?"

"Well," Chief Grumble says, "Well, ... um ... you see if I put this lock on Silas's door, you can't get in to hurt him."

"OK, great." Eregor says, "But, is he in his quarters right now?"

009.jpg

"Enough of this," Officer Bumble says as he covers the Chief with a bwankie, "Sorry, Chief, but I won't let you use that useless lock to protect the jester!"

"Hey!" Silas cries, "You're supposed to be on our side!"

"Well..." Officer Bumble begins, "Let's have a little flashback, shall we?"

Back on Night One:

016.jpg

"Hey Eregor," Kerkong says, "Did you kill Zerard Wolfe?"

"Um...no," Eregor answers, "I...um...ran into someone on the way..."

"Wha?" Kerkong asks.

"You guys aren't going to believe this," Eregor rolls his eyes.

017.jpg

"Oh hi guys," says Officer Bumble, "Have you guys seen Ruben Castleton? I thought I saw him go this way. You see I have this cool action. I can switch my character with someone else's in order to hide the royal family from the Scum. Neat, huh? I have to be careful though, because if I try to switch with a Kensmy Assassin, I get converted. We wouldn't want that to happen. Ha! So where did Ruben go?"

018.jpg

Silence ensues as the gears inside Officer Bumble's head turn.

019.jpg

"Aw, nuts!" Officer Bumble cries.

020.jpg

010.jpg

"Well, that's just great," Silas says, "I wasn't even paying attention on Days 1 through 4, so I had no idea that happened! But what you didn't count on, Scummy Eregor jerk-face, was that I am the Paranoid Horn Owner! Ha ha! That's right! Anybody who tries to kill me gets a face full of explosives from my funny horn!"

011.jpg

Kerkong steps forward and wraps the jester in a chain.

"Pffft!" The jester laughs, "My action isn't blockable by chain, stupid! I can still honk my horn. The second honk is the explosion! Ready?"

Honk! ...

012.jpg

Bffft! Eregor uses a fresh-baked muffin to clog the bell of the horn.

"Looks like it's blockable by pastry," Eregor laughs.

013.jpg

Kaboom!

"Fireworks for our celebration!" Kerkong laughs.

"I love fireworks." Officer Bumble says.

014.jpg

"And now it's your turn, Chief Grumble," Kerkong says as he throws the Chief to his knees, "We knew you weren't the King!"

"How would you have known that?"

"Oh, Chief Bumble told us," Eregor laughs, "I'll tell you all about it in a little flashback."

On Night Four:

005.jpg

...What he doesn't notice is Kerkong, sneaking up behind him and grabbing the parachute right before he jumps. Officer Dumble looks for his rip-cord but can't find it.

"But I'm not Royal Family!" Officer Dumble shouts as Kerkong and Eregor watch him fall to his death, "And neither is Charles Pleasance!"

025.jpg

"Did he really just say that?" Laughs Eregor.

"I guess that's why they call him Dumble!" Kerkong joins in on the laughter.

015.jpg

"Anyway, catch you later Grumble!" Eregor says as he slits the Chief's throat.

016.jpg

As the moon comes out from behind a cloud, the survivors take a moment to appreciate their win.

"Gee, I wonder why they call him Grumble." Officer Bumble says.

017.jpg

"Mwaha!" The ghost of Chief Grumble laughs, "I'm back! For I am the vengeful spirit and once I'm murdered I can come back and seek vengeance on the one who killed me! Mwahayar yar yar Har Har!"

018.jpg

"Enough of this shit!" Barag says as he turns on his special spiritual vacuum cleaner.

"Hey wait!" The ghost of Chief Grumble cries, "Not yet! I haven't killed anyone... Nooooooooooo!"

019.jpg

"Hey guys, I'm back!" Barag says as he tosses the vacuum over the side of the ship.

"How is that possible?" Kerkong asks, "We saw you dropped over the side of the ship!"

020.jpg

"Do you doubt my power?" Lord Hildebrand Weaselton bellows as he appears.

"Um...no." The others answer.

"Oh, well OK then." Lord Weaselton says, "I have brought Barag back from death to join in the celebration of the overthrow of that treacherous pig, King Finnerty D. Colsh."

"Hooray." Everyone responds.

021.jpg

"Let's get you out of those goofy casino costumes too!" Lord Hildebrand Weaselton proclaims as he waves his wand.

Congratulations to Officer Bumble (Pandora) traitor, Kerkong (CorneliusMurdock) Kensmy Assassin, Barag (Rick) Kensmy Assassin and Eregor (Cecilie) Kensmy Assasin on winning Steampunk Mafia!

022.jpg

Lady Eleanor Quin Fry appears and shakes her head at Lord Weaselton.

"All of this bloodshed over our divorce, you misguided soul." Lady Eleanor clicks her tongue.

"Oh shove it, bitch," Lord Weaselton answers, "They got what was coming to them. There's no hope for any of their people now! No hope!"

"No," Lady Eleanor answers, "There is another..."

023.jpg

"Mom? Dad?" Princess Raulyn Isabella Colsh says, "Nathaniel? Where'd everybody go?

Congratulations Scum team! It's been a very long day for me so role PMs, player analysis and Night Actions will be posted tomorrow. Thanks for a great game everybody! I hope you all had fun. Sorry it didn't work out Town, but I think it was just a case of never getting organized ... and that pesky traitor. Hint: when there isn't a night kill and the brown frog shows up in the morning, that's Hinck-host-speak for conversion. Why did nobody decipher the frog? Anyway, love you all. Fascinating and weird game, but a true pleasure to host all of you. I had a blast, so thank you all for participating.

"We've been rowing for days and we haven't seen land." Prince Nathaniel Kienan Colsh whines.

"Silence, son!" King Finnerty D. Colsh admonishes his son, "Whining is not becoming of a valiant and brave Prince who blocked a traitor one night during the battle of the HMS Brutal."

"We know," Meahon Doughal says, "It was just a couple days ago and you keep telling the story!"

"No complaining!" Shouts the King, "We're lucky to be alive."

"How come we're all back to normal," Officer Dumble asks, "yet Lady Lotus Chen is still Meahon Doughal?"

"Lady Chen doesn't like to row." Meahon answers.

Role PMs and Character Feedback:

Character:

ae_silas_gil_large.jpg

Silas Gil Large the Jester

Make sure you use your Alter Ego avatar and not your character avatar. The point is to hide your real identity.

Alter Ego:

bess_bulton.jpg

Bess Bulton,

Affiliation: Royal Court

Night Action: You are the Bicycle Thief, which is a passive action. You are also the court jester, but don’t let anyone know because they’re looking for the King and the royal family. If they kill them, they win. Are you a good decoy? You don’t have a night action, but you do have a passive action that may help the Royal Court … or harm it.

Best of luck!

Passive Action: A bit contrived, but since this is one of the only way for the Town to kill Scum, the Bicycle Thief was meant to be a Bomb / Paranoid Gun Owner. Bomb on conviction (that would only take the first Scum that voted for him) and PGO upon night kill. If there would have been a tie vote on Night Five and the Scum would've targeted Bob, which they did, the numbers would've been Town: 3, Scum: 2 on Day Six.

Player Feedback:  Bob Bob Bob. May I hand out some tough love and say that I've heard you complain about your own performance after every game in recent memory? So... :look: what have you done to try and improve that? I think it's one thing if you're visibly trying but quotes like this:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Barag blocked on night one? That's how Shanalon knew he was an assassin, unless I'm wrong.

make me think that you aren't even paying attention. Here's my honest advice for you: next time you play a game, take notes. Just pay close attention to everything that's said and write it down and keep checking and adding to your notes. Don't skim the day threads. I'd be really disappointed to hear that you skimmed these day threads which were probably the shortest of any Mafia game I've seen on EB. The game wasn't lost until everyone jumped on the Zepher bandwagon and your reason for voting for Zepher was a very disappointing "this is the way the tide is turning." The votes is a powerful tool and should not be placed just because a bandwagon has formed. And why were you asking for clarification about your role in character in thread? When I realized that you were actually confused about your "job" I wondered why you wouldn't just PM me first instead of going on about it in the game thread? You did PM me about it, but not until you had gone on about it in thread. I wish I had nicer feedback for you, but I really think it's time you stepped up your game.

Chief Grumble

Alter Ego:

Night Action: Paranoid Bread Baker: You’re the Chief of the Royal Guard, but don’t let anyone know because they’re looking for the King and the royal family. If they kill them, they win. Are you a good decoy? You don’t have a night action, but you do have a passive action that may help the Royal Court … you can feel the fire of vengeance in your soul.

Best of luck!

Passive Action: Vengeful Spirit. It practically tells you you're the vengeful spirit, so I'm surprised you didn't take more risks and try to rally the Town. I have a limited perspective for the Town's actions behind the scenes, so take that with a grain of salt.

Player Feedback: As I mentioned above, I was disappointed to not see you play with a little more balls considering your role. Maybe you were behind the scenes, maybe you didn't deduce that you were the vengeful spirit. You were the town's only chance at getting a vigilante. You would've been given a one-shot kill after your death on any given night through the rest of the game after your death or lynch. Weird that it was so close between you and Bob on the first day and then never became a threat to lynch or kill either one of you. The Town seemed to have the right idea in Night Actions. Zepher made you a lock and you used it to protect Bob, but there was no other indication that you guys were working together. I'm interested to hear what happened behind the scenes. Otherwise I don't have much of an opinion of your game or how to improve. I hope what you were doing behind the scenes was amazing. What was this clue you hadn't thought of that made you unvote Pandora on Day Five. That confused me.

Night Action: Raggedy Andy: Naughty boy, you’re a mean scum-head. You have the ability to kill a player every night and you share that with your buddy, Kerkong. In addition to the night kill, you have a one-shot invention action. You can make one of three inventions: a chain-to block, a lock-to protect, or a magnifying glass to watch someone with. You cannot give a gift to yourself.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: Awesome job on your first time as Scum! You sailed through to the end, even though it was somewhat transparent towards the end. I think you've been given some good advice by your Scum-mates about playing your cards a little too soon. Going after Zepher about the revealing theory and telling Pandora you understood why she didn't come forward sooner because it would "seem Scummy" rather than "potentially hurt the Town" were things I noticed, but what you did worked. You're one to be weary of in the future, especially since you're likely to take the feedback and work on it. You may become a super stealthy Scum next time. You're in a good position to be Scum, just like your whole team. You have a tendency to be a bit quieter as Town than others, play somewhat towards the middle and very cautious behind the scenes. All four of you are like that and made for a really dangerous Scum team here. Keeping up that Town game will also improve your chances at playing Scum next time.

Night Action: JUY098OL: Goon! You scummy, smelly goon! You kill people at night. That’s a responsibility you share with your little friend, Eregor. Hope you’re happy with yourself.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: Ditto everything I said for Cecilie, except you had a good portion of the vets unaware of your Scum status. I'm glad I wasn't playing against you your first time as Scum. I predict I would be Jesus all over again. I'm so used to trusting you. But, at the same time, you do play a good middle ground game and always cause a bit of wariness. But you're not likely to be first on people's investigation list and get through on the social game behind the scenes. So, when you appear seldomly in thread but say things that are logical and pertinent, it seems exactly like your Town game. You were the first Scum name I drew and I felt really excited for you in your first Mafia Scum role. Then I pulled Rick and Cecilie and felt bad for the Town. Granted, all three of you were first-time non-converted Scum, but you're smart players and always put a lot of thought in. An active Scum is a good match for an active Town...and a death warrant for a disorganized Town.

Alter Ego:

Darberis Gibbon,

Night Action: Bulgy-Eyed Bitch: You have a one-shot watch action. You’re also the Queen if you didn’t notice. Keep that a secret. The Scum win if they kill you and your family, so play it smart, you bulgy-eyed bitch.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: Poo. You barely got to play. You joined the game late. I had a noob in your spot which was originally Cecilie's. For the first time ever, I ignored the cups and made a conscious decision to put a certain player in a certain role. You were originally Eregor and Cecilie was the queen. In a game this size, I didn't want to put you and Shadows opposite each other, especially where he was the (non potato-kicking) investigator. However, it turns out I shouldn't have put Pandora and Rick on opposite sides either, but more on that in a bit. Strange that Rick had you pegged from the beginning. I think middle-ground is usually your game, but for some reason he said he thought the Royal Family were "Zepher, JimButcher and Dragonator" after Day One. I thought you played well. Perhaps this role should be a two-shot in the future? I based it off of basic games from mafiawiki for balance. What did you think? I'm interested to hear your opinion on balance.

Fairon Garzi,

Night Action: Bibble-Dibble: You’re an Officer of the Royal Guard, but don’t let anyone know because they’re looking for the King and the royal family. If they kill them, they win. Are you a good decoy? You don’t have a night action, but you do have a passive action that may help the Royal Court … but your name is Dumble, so I would assume that your death would hurt the Royal Court somehow.

Best of luck!

Passive Action: One-shot, at death, role cop ... for the Scum. When killed, one other non-royal family member is chosen at random to be revealed to the Scum. Sucky role.

Player Feedback: You were killed because you were most likely to start piecing things together. As you cautiously started sending out feelers after Shadows's death, I think you revealed to Pandora that Shadows hadn't left any info with anyone and nobody had done anything to rally the troops without him. Being seen as the biggest threat is a big testament to your Mafia career. Too bad your sucky action narrowed the field for the Scum. Don't worry, they still thought Bob was the King. Anyway, thanks for the fun Night Action requests and wish you would've had more to work with. It would've been nice to see this Scum team up against a formidable foe, such as yourself, towards the end.

Alter Ego:

jane_phoebe_barnell.jpg

Jane Phoebe Barnell,

Night Action: Watcher: which means you get a 2-shot blocking action. You can block on other player on any two nights of the game. It can be a different player on each night. Once you’ve blocked twice, you’re nothing. Except the Prince, which is important. The Assassins are after you, and if they get you and your family, they win. So be cautious about who you reveal your identity to.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: I thought you played really well. I'm not used to seeing you play so aggressive and you went after Pandora pretty hard. I'm sorry the conviction turned on you after you had logged off for the day. It really was a long time between you're being convicted and the day ending, but I did notice you hadn't logged in. In Pandora's defense, she was playing the tactic of telling her story behind the scenes and seeing if she couldn't get another player to do the dirty work for her. She contacted Foog, but his connection went out as he was trying to type his response. I don't think Pandora timed it that way on purpose, it was just an unfortunate internet connection mishap. Her tactic there was actually quite brilliant. Instead of arguing tooth and nail, she played very calm and subtle. Slow and steady won the race, but it left you without being able to defend yourself. I really would've liked to have seen what would've happened had you been able to answer to the overturn. :cry_sad: Nice work until then. I think your aggression had thrown the Scum off your trail for being Royal Family. You were in a good position until you got lynched. Not sure why Rick had you pegged on Day One, but I thought you played very well for this concept.

Night Action: GBZX3EE: which naturally makes you the protector. You can choose one player each night to protect and no harm will come to that player. You can even protect yourself, but not two nights in a row.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: Oh, what the hell was this? The half of the Town that Shadows didn't confuse was bamboozled by your shenanigans. Where do I start? Or do I at all? I think you know what you did wrong, although I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't. Your game was so confusing I bet you lost yourself at one point or another. I like that you play aggressively, but my advice would be to let a plan form a little better first before attacking it.

Alter Ego:

Night Action: You are the dirty sock, which means you can switch alter egos with one other character, one time. Lady Eleanor Quin Fry gave you an orb that allows you to transform into one of the 11 other alter egos on the ship. If you switch with an Assassin, you will be converted to their side, you dirty megablocking traitor.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: I fully admit to trying to meddle as a host with your role. I went for a walk after putting the confirmation thread up and a horrifying thought suddenly hit me: "She's going to use her Night Action on Rick on Night One." I just kept running through numbers and scenarios to see if it would work out and then actually tried to change the role. The role was meant to be used as a way to create a strong Town block. I thought it would be used once behavior patterns had been established, but not with Pandora. Had to use it on Rick right away. Oh well, it worked out since he was lynched the next day anyway. I tried to change the role to "If you try to switch with Scum, you die," which would've forced Pandora to use it the way it was intended, to move the Royal Family around or create a strong Town block. But, not surprisingly she used it on Rick. I should've just made her Scum from the beginning. But, I ended up leaving it the way I had originally intended it because re-writing my own game once the role PMs went out would be rather shitty thing to do. I think the most impressive thing about your game was talking the Town in to lynching two members of royalty. The slow burn of your Day Four defense was brilliant. You took your time and tried to explain things, guardedly behind the scenes under the guise of protecting the Town from the Scum getting too much info about your role. It was brilliant and the timing made it more believable. It really seemed like a Town move. And in a game where, once again, people were saying they had you pegged as Scum, even when you were still Town, making it through was a feat in and of itself. I really expected the last day to end in a tie, but you and your team expertly brought Zepher down, and removing the more active and previously proven logical players was also a smart move. Awesome job as usual. You really put a lot of thought into these games and this time you put in a ton of work too. Nice game behind the scenes as well as in thread.

Night Action: Everyone has one and they're named inconsistently. Some are movie titles, some are random combos of letters and numbers. Some are named wrong, like a vigilante who's action is actually tracker, etc. So, let the odd role-claiming begin. This is all being laid out so that nobody can attempt to use the structure of the role PM or game to their advantage.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: Another good show for a first time Scum. I think it's easy for Shadows to say he knew you were Scum from the get go after he has the investigation result. I don't know what could've clued him off (he tells me he'll tell me after the game like he always does, but I doubt there'll be a good explanation. He likes to do this thing where he says he's going to teach me how to spot Scum, but not until after the game. :hmpf: Anyway...) your game is always maddeningly hard for me to pin down. You are one of the first people I contact when playing because I trust you so much, but that "Devil's Advocate" play always makes me wonder if you're really on my side or not. That leaves you in a really good spot to play Scum, and I thought you were doing great. You definitely named all three Royal Family after observing one day of gameplay and I think that's just amazing. Everybody, I kept Rick off the dead writeboard and allowed him to continue to talk to his Scum team during the game. I like the idea because it keeps the Scum team organized and they are continuing to lose Actions and ability to work behind the scenes with the Town players. I could see how this could be seen as a disadvantage to the Town, especially when there's only one remaining Scum and he/she is less experienced or a recent Mafia School graduate and wouldn't have the experience without his dead team-mates. However, it gives the Town more incentive to organize knowing the minds will continue to be behind the Scum's game. I like the idea, although I realize there may be opposition to it, especially considering there would be no way for dead Town to continue helping Town strategize.

The glass will give you the result of Royal Court, Kensmy Assassin or Neutral. But, don’t let anyone know you’re the Toaster Salesman because they’re looking for the King and the royal family. If they kill them, they win. Are you a good decoy?

You win when all the Kensmy Clan Assassins are killed.

Best of luck!

Player Feeback: I will say two things: 1. I'm very glad you came back and played this game. You were a blast and the game wouldn't have been the same without you and 2. You need a clown to masterbate.

Night Action: You’re the Disembodied head, which means you have a 2-shot inventor action. On two nights you can gift an invention to another player. You can choose from three inventions: a magnifying glass that allows the user to watch one other player, a chain that the recipient can use to block another player and a lock that the recipient can use to protect themselves or another player. You cannot gift an invention to yourself, you greedy megablocker. Did you also notice that you’re the King? Don’t go telling everyone. The Assassins are after you and if they kill you, and your family, they win.

You win when all the Kensmy Clan Assassins are killed.

Best of luck!

Player Feedback: Zepher, you're always ballsy, awesome and somewhat confounding. Good job in this game for the most part. I think you responded the only way you could to the last day. I don't think claiming King was thoroughly thought out. I think your game would've been better played with Pie and Bob behind the scenes. I'm interested to know why it was so easy for you to change your vote to JimButcher. I think that started a wave in the other direction that was unchangeable. I think your intention was to tie it up, but did you think to stop it when it went all the way and Jim wasn't around to defend himself? And what happened with Pie behind the scenes. You lost his trust somehow and I'm curious to hear what that was all about. Thank you so much for the compliment about my games and I'm likewise always happy to have you play in my games. Nice and weird job in this one, as usual.

Town: In general, you had your work cut out for you after Pandora was converted and you lost Shadows. Perhaps too much trust was put into Shadows? Perhaps you let him do too much work for you? Losing the protector made it really hard for the investigator to stay alive. Too bad he was so loud about his role. Although he tried to make it sound like killing him wouldn't actually do the Scum any good. It did confuse the Scum for a while. However, it confused the Town too. Fugazi, I believe, thought he was the investigator that Shadows made up. Another setback was lynching MetroiD and finding him to be, confoundingly, Town. That will take the wind out of your sails. Especially losing your investigator and Town leader on the same Night. However, Fugazi's role cop Action had the Scum confounded as well. They agonized for a bit over if it was WIFOM or not. I think the biggest reason for your loss, though, was in the final days. The quick overturn of the conviction to JimButcher and the subsequent lynching of the King put the final nails in your coffin. Had the vote been tied on Day Five and the Scum targeted Bob, the ratio Town: Scum would've been 3:2 on Day Six. Hard to tell when you're in it, but you got played by a strong Scum team, and perhaps a lack of effort on the part of some of the Town players. If you'd had Pandora on your side, maybe you would've been able to pull through better. I would definitely reconsider how that role works for next time. But, don't forget the brown frog!! And I wish the Town would've used their limited shot actions more agressively. On Night Four when people stayed in, I was disappointed that you weren't using everything left at your disposal to try and win.

Scum: Best and scariest Scum team ever. You got through everything and talked your way out of almost everything except the investigation result on Rick. You had the names of the Royal Family on Day One. That's pretty amazing. You only had a kill, a block and a one-shot invention and you did a lot of damage with those. Certainly made the most out of what appeared to you guys to be a weak set of Night Actions. No offense but I really would've liked to have seen you lose another member. But the slick playing, smooth behind the scenes PM game and choice of Night Kill targets kept you ahead the whole time. A bad turning point for the Town was the night they lost their protector and investigator. :look: Scumbags. :snicker: I laughed at a lot of your PMs because you were assuming I was messing with people or made some crazy game when really it was somewhat simple and you were latching onto other's lies or your own paranoia. And you tried to direct me sometimes. :hmpf: Ask Shadows, it doesn't work ... anymore. But you weeded through the lies and paranoia and came out with the right answer most of the time. A really well deserved congratulations to you all, especially considering it was three of your first time playing Scum. Pandora, I would expect to be killed Night One of my next game. You have a tendency to start Town and be converted in my games. Now I'm meta-hosting you. This is the second game I've hosted where the Scum fail to trip the two roles that are meant to kill them. Maybe next time the vengeful spirit will automatically kill his killer on the following night. I can't tell if it made a difference in the balance or not since the Town never got to use it...

One more thing: On Night Three, Pandora and JimButcher blocked each other. That was the reason for the unsuccessful result. More Night Action results and Day thread notes coming soon.

Awesome conclusion . Funny that we almost killed the King on night 1, but then he ended up living to the last day .

When I first saw that I was going to be scum for my first time this game, I was all "shit, now I have to be the hunted...", but then I saw who my scum team was, and all I could think was "yey, awesome team, this will be great ". And it was :sweet:. I really had a great time playing this game, and the hosting was excellent. Great pictures and story, and everything was smooth and speedy. So thanks for the game Hinck, and thanks for letting me play. And thanks to my scum team for a great time :sweet:

Congrats on the win, scum team! That was hands down the most entertaining mafia game I've read - I will admit I have not gone back and read games from before I joined.

Anyway the pace was great, like Cecile mentioned. I think the best part was I was laughing each day on the intro threads. Seriously. I had to stop reading them at work.

Awesome job everyone involved in this game, you entertained the audience as far as this viewer is concerned.

Good job, scum! Scummy scum scum. SCUM.

I knew something was potentially wrong with Pandora and Cecilie, but didn't have a clue on Cornelius Murdock, which made the whole thing confusing, plus the town got weak and let Pandora talk her way out of such an obvious and easy lynch. :sceptic:

Given how much stuff I made up about my role, I'll comment more later. Count on it.

Yes, you! Your lies were hilarious and brilliant, but unfortunately confused the Town as much as the Scum, I think. I believe Fugazi thought he was the actual investigator you made up. :hmpf: Or there's some other explanation to the cryptic Night Action I got from Foog. Anyway, more on all of that later. I have to go to bed now.

Very well done Scum, you played a good game. Townies, you should have been more on the ball; not lynching Pandora was just silly, and Zeph you really dropped yourself in it on the last day!

I am glad I betted on Corny over Bob with Shadows. I didn't have a clue about Cecilie though. I had good reason to believe there were only two left, so shush. Stupid brown frog. :hmpf:

Thanks for hosting Hinck, lovely presentation as usual.

Loved the look of this game, and the players made the day threads interesting as well. Had Cornelius figured as scum since the beginning, can't really give a reason, but he seemed very suspicious to me, but as we know, the point of view from a watcher is very different than that of a player.

Great work on the pictures, and the concept of the game in general, Hinckley, very cool. Here is a thumbs up

Congratulations to the scum team You did a good job playing the town, well-deserved victory

I had a fun time following the game, the setting was really good.

I must say, I was suspicious of both Pandora and Cecilie at the beginning of Day 3, but Shadow had me then convinced MetroiD was scum. I never suspected Cornelius, though. :sceptic:

And we have another great claim by Shadows, this time even as townie.

I'd love to know why, was it just a Gut Feeling, or something I said? :look:

So I'd been talking to scumsters all along. Rick on Day 1, then Pandora and Cecilie on Days 2 / 3. And trying to sort it out with Shadows by presenting him with all the info didn't help either. Ah, what a poor poor game I've had. :sceptic: I'm sorry, Townies, I really thought I was doing us all a favour by getting the action going in the way that I did. Oh and Panda - I just _knew_ it! You make angry bunny sad! :cry_sad: I only got suspicious of Cecilie once I'd died, and by then it was already way too late...

In any case, I must say scumsters, you did an absolutely great job. But Meahon's awesome hair is still the highlight of the game... sorry for stealing your thunder

I'll be back later to post more detailed feedback on the game.

In your case it was mostly what you didn't say, combined with the general idea that anyone MetroiD was trusting was probably not to be trusted.

Exactly! I think you trusted them more than you did me. If you'd just leveled with me immediately, things wouldn't have gotten so complicated.

And we have another great claim by Shadows, this time even as townie.

Just wait until you see how crazy it was and why I was forced into it.

With the low amount of players, especially with all-star players like you all, it's possible to make an educated guess on who's town and who's not, I think. Of course, I had hardly any idea what was happening behind the scenes, so it basically was a gut feeling, nothing in particular.

Just wait until you see how crazy it was and why I was forced into it.

I'm dying to hear it :excited:

Shithole. :hmpf_bad::laugh:

Awesome game Hinck, the setting and the characters were really great. :sweet:

Well, it's no freaking wonder we couldn't lynch Pandora, the numbers were completely tied. :sceptic: I was beginning to suspect CM, too, but I thought through process of elimination that Cecile was town too. I can't believe there actually was a conversion, but at least it was balanced. Sorta.

I felt like we could've won this if we got our act other, but it seems Shadow's suspicions about Pandora were like the only thing we got from him after death. Oh, and my unbelievable role claim, to Fugazi. (which, to be honest, I can only blame on myself for crying wolf at least 6 times in other games )

I don't feel too bad. I called the final two scum... and Pandora.... sort of. I felt a little cornered that last day, and I don't know if we could have done anything to turn the tide at that point. My only huge mistake of the game was convicting JimButcher instead of Polly, I think.

Congrats to the scum, of course. Very well played.

As for the narrative and the setting - absolutely beautiful and genius. I play games I want to play at this point, not all Mafia games indiscriminately, and I will always sign up for Hinck games.

megabluck my life. That's all I can say. I don't like reflecting on how I did during the game because most of the time my feelings were wrong and that ultimately costs me.

See? No one listens to me... I was kind of pissed about the way I was lynched, but now that I know the numbers were tied, it didn't really matter. I was disappointed that I didn't even get a chance to defend myself. I'll say more about the game mechanics later. :classic:

That out of the way, good job to the scum team. Like Shadows said, Pandora and Cecilie were in the cross-hairs from Day 2, and I tried to block Pandora on Night 2, but was unsuccessful. We just couldn't get the town organized quickly enough, and it didn't help that through Pandora's action she was converted. ConeliusMudock did trip my radar on Days 3 and 4 with his refusal to vote Pandora and then quickly vote me, and then similar actions on Day 4. But by then it was too late for the Royal Court, and I was pretty much clueless of his scuminess the whole time.

And thanks so much to our host, Hinckley. Thanks for letting play and thanks for setting it all up. I had a lot of fun. :sweet:

Fantastic game all! I was really hoping that the town would get at least one more right lynch, but, unfortunately, that was not the case. For some reason, I really didn't suspect Pandora, of being scum, but I did, somewhat, suspect both Cornelius Murdoch and Cicilie. Shadows was awesome and I really disappointed to see him die quite early on. I never would have thought of Rick being scum if Shadow hadn't pointed him out.

Honestly, I assumed my role was something like that - well, in more of a Paranoid Gun Owner kind of way. I intended to play a more intense game, partly because of that, and partially because of the game's gameplay, but Day One kind of turned me off of it.

I contacted Zeph Day One, we had a bit of a loose alliance, but we didn't rely on it too much. Ultimately, the clue that had apparently tipped me off was that Pandora claimed, in the last day day, she had received a present the night before - conveniently, he had also claimed inventor a day earlier.

So on one hand he was going all-out at Pandora with me during the beginning of the day, and then I have him having given her an invention the night before. I could not for the life of me figure it out. He was getting lynched anyway, but I figured I would be next and Pandora, who I still suspected, would have too much credibility to get lynched during the rest of the game, so I half-suspected it was going to be the last day. At least I got that right.

Thanks for the feedback, Hinck. One other thing I'd like to mention was that I liked how this game included all "vets", or at least people who've played in a lot of games so that we all knew each other's playing style. And with only 12 players, I felt close to everyone else. That might sound weird, but I really did enjoy this one.

A heartfelt thank you to all the players, and of course you Hinck, for another brilliant game! It was thoroughly enjoying thanks to an intriguing set-up and hilarious night reports!

I'm ashamed at how scum have steam(punk)rolled us, but with such a great line-up why should I be surprised! It's all still sinking in so I will come back and comment some more later on.
