So, is it Ninja Go or Nin Jago?

Recommended Posts

There was a discusion here some time ago on the subject of how to pronounce Ninjago. Some thought Ninja Go, others thought Nin Jago.

Just this AM there was a Legoland CA commercial advertising a new Ninjago attraction and I think I heard the pronounciation Nin Jago, twice.

Anyone else see this commerical? Did they say what I thought I heard?

Nin-JAH-go is the official pronunciation for the theme and its setting, but the characters also say "Ninja Go" as a slogan/battle cry, and "Ninja Go" also appears in the lyrics of some of the promotional songs. Dan Castady of The Fold (the band that performs the theme's promotional songs) did a humorous video on the subject this March, shortly before the release of this year's songs.

Thanks for the info Aanchir. The other one I remember being confused about was Chima. "Chime-a" or "Chee-ma?" Oh well, some times I mispronounce it purposefully just for spite.

Hmmm...

I thought it was Tek Nicks. And Kree Ae Der.

Does pronunciation ultimately matter? No. But when I hear someone say it differently from how I say it, I can't help but feel somewhat smugly superior (with a hint of "Have I been saying it wrong this whole time? Nah, couldn't be.").

Cassul. Pie Rits. Spayse.

Reminds me of this and

.
