LEGO NINJAGO final layout update!

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow fans. This is my final update to my ninjago layout.

Instead of uploading picture I want to rather share the blog post I wrote on it as I also have my opinions on there.

Here is a link http://legovincent.blogspot.de/2016/03/lego-ninjago-layout-final-update-for-now.html

Comments mean a lot, positive or negative though please keep them civil :)

I know you can see my amateur attempts MOC attempt but I did try my best with my current resources and bricks.

I am a creative person yet MOC is something I rarely tried recently. Not because I love it old school after instructions, but because time and motivation are a factor

I have no masterpiece here and when I look at what other people, even younger people come up with I get blown away. But lego is lego and the community has always been nice, so I hope that some people find what I did interesting.

Finally, thank you to the people who have commented on my previous posts and gave me tips, I took them into consideration and tried my best.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I will see you around :)

Vincent.

I like the placement of all the "water" type sets in different places, it builds the environment. I also like how Misfortune's Keep classifies as a water vehicle.

But did you know that the Realm Crystal is located in an underwater cave? If you didn't know this, you could reconfigure it's location a bit.

I really like your set up, I think the work you put into creating you mountain region for the anacondrai temple's is fantastic. I also wanted to ask, what are the clear pieces under your destiny bounty, they look like glass cups but I can't be sure. I would like to do something similar with mine and my misfortunes keep...

As for my layout, I have gone for my individual set ups as I have placed my ToA my misfortunes keep and my destiny's bounty on separate level shelves making each one an individual diorama. ToA has a ghost battle featuring Morro, Misfortunes Keep has the fight against the sky pirates of course, and my DB is a show off pieces at the top of the shelves with my minifig customisation (lloyd for example is now wearing his hood from when he was the child minifig and also wearing the green cape from the mandarin iron man 3 wave). Each minifig on the DB is carrying an individual lightsaber hilt which is for their elemental blades. I really need to upload photos....

Great work man, I look forward to seeing more

Hey, sorry for replying late. The clear pieces I use I found on a jangbricks video, wait let me link it as I do not recall the name of the piece:

I got them off bricklink.

Thank you for your kind words, yeah upload pictures I would love to see them.

Sorry but that's just to crowded and chaotic for me. You just took all your sets and put them on your desk.

There's no background (i don't consider that blue thing background) or a story to follow on your layout.

You should consider dividing those sets in smaller layouts and create proper story for those.

Bigger is not always better.

Very impressive collection. I do agree there's either a lack of organization and any line of demarkation between groups. Personally I think that maybe could use some work but if you're okay with it then more power to you. Again together it all looks very impressive!
