New Adventurers Set Ideas Thread

Recommended Posts

Well, for now we've got Pharaoh's Quest. What new sets do you want from that theme? Or do you want a new subtheme, like Jungle or Oriental? Personally I'd really love to see both of those subthemes return. As for sets, I'd really love an Aztec Pyramid, filled with traps and treasures. I also want an Asian palace, with really detailed things and lots of features.

So what do you want?

It would be nice to see an egyptian temple for pharaoh's quest (not a pyramid a TEMPLE) with some traps and hieroglyphics and new Egyptian god minifigures. It'd be really cool to have some ancient ritual going on inside. And possibly some "supernatural" traps to keep any adventurers from interfering. :sweet:

Non Egyptian theme ideas- I'd like to see kind of a witchdoctor type theme with huge masks, shrunken heads and voodoo ZOMBIES! A theme like that could be awesome, it could have huts with strange magical items inside (Potions, books, shrunken heads) and the theme would have to include some alligators and foliage and some wild life to give it some scenery. And the story is that the witch doctor leader is going to have some sacred ritual in which he kidnaps one of the adventurers for a sacrifice (Prolly a girl because it's always like that in movies) and the others need to stop the ritual and save their friend while fighting off crazed islanders and zombies.

Sounds like that would work not only for Adventurers but also for Pirates with all those islanders you're talking about!

An idea I'd like to see, maybe an exploration of Oriental Countries, or maybe Middle Eastern areas.

Pharaoh's Quest looks like the replacement for Atlantis, so I'm sure it'll last longer. I think the name of the theme will change, but yes, I'm positive it will continue on into subthemes, like Jungle and Orient. Just maybe not exactly those.

I don't think they will continue the egyptian theme anymore, I think next year it will be a different sub theme, I would like to see a jungle/aztec one, with aztec warriors and ancient artifacts etc. 'Jungle Quest'

I too would like to see another airship, possibly a bigger one minus the prefab parts.

I'd love to see a new Jungle/Amazon line being made. I didn't like the Egyptian Quest line that much (even though it does have some cool sets in it), and I'd love to see Johnny and his crew return once more to dig deeper into the dark and mysterious jungle to find some ancient treasure (or something alike).

A second thought that ran through my mind, is something with cold and snowy landscapes again (like we had during the Orient expedition in Nepal). Maybe some of you remember Alien VS Predator, where an expo group heads to Antarctica where they find this Ancient Maya temple underneath several meters of ice. Would be pretty awesome if they could do something with that. I think it could become something either with or without this whole alien and predator thing (as they would need a licence for that I guess). I'm sure there are enough other dangers to put in.

A witch-doctor theme would be amazing! I think it would be a little bit too dark for a kids toy, so maybe they could just make a jungle theme and include sets with them in it. It would be really great to get them though, as if we ever get a Tia Dalma figure in PotC we could use them as her house!

Adventures set in Greece! "Olympus Quest"

Mythological monsters come back to life and the crew fights them out, bringing us amazing temple sets, mythological parts and new treasure.

Personally, I'd love to see Sam Sinister (or his son, which would go along well with Jake Raines - Sonny Sinister?) return, maybe in an African theme. The heroes (Jake, Helena, Mac and Archie the professor) would team up with the natives to drive off Sinister and his goons. It would be a great chance to get some African animal molds, such as the lion, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, etc., and maybe even a new monkey and elephant. :D

I might make up some sets later. By the way, has anyone noticed the nixing of the impulse sets? Pharaoh's Quest didn't have them, nor is Alien Conquest.

Here are some new set ideas for a jungle theme:

Sam Sinister's Scout - $2.99

One of Sam's goons, a scout, spying on the heroes (not included). Includes spy equipment (camera, binoculars, etc).

Mac's Motorcycle - $2.99

Mac's prized, indestructible motorbike makes a return in this impulse, in jungle livery, with various jungly accessories.

Amazonian Shrine - $4.99

An ancient shrine discovered by Professor Hale (with obligatory diamonds). With plants around it, and a snake (also obligatory).

Parrot Pursuit - $9.99

Jake and Mac chasing the last guardians-of-something-ancient-and-awesome - super-colorful Amazonian Ara parrots, with valuable somethings in their beaks. The parrots would be new molds (obviously). The heroes would be chasing them with wings made from huge tree leaves, and they'd have jumped off a cliff, gliding after the birds.

Risky Crossing - $19.99

Mac and Helena have to cross a fierce river with very strong currents, and the only way across is along a precarious rope! The heroes have to grab the rope and get to the other side upside down with all their gear.

Jungle Chase - $29.99

A chase between Helena, Jake and two of Sam Sinister's goons? The heroes could have a little off-roader, and Sam Sinister's goons would have a larger truck. Sort of like the Indy chase set. Could come with Amazonian monkeys.

???? - $39.99

????

Amazonian Temple - $69.99

And finally, the temple! A sort of flagship set, like the Pharaoh's Quest pyramid - but instead, with no mythological enemies. Sam Sinister is racing Jake to the treasure. There are vehicles around, and Helena is sword-fighting some goon. The other heroes help on somehow while another goon pointlessly races onto the scene for obligatory action for the box art.

Let your imagination fill in the scenes, if you want. I know they don't make impulses anymore (probably), but one can dream, right? :D Anyways, maybe the villain wouldn't be Sam Sinister, but his son, that would fit in with Jake Raines.

(Look at the first letters in the names of the impulses.... see wut ai did dere? ;P)

I need some ideas for the $40 set....

I would love to see something set in India/the Himalayas... Can't think of a witty name though. And i think there is an urgent need for an airship. Needs to happen

While watching the third "Mummy" movie I was thinking this... the movie wasn't that great, but it reminded me of both several levels of Tomb Raider (the video game, not the movies) and some parts of an Indiana Jones video game in a similar style called "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine." (while not the Himalayas, still a temple in the cold mountains).

I love that style of game play and those levels were really cool, so I like your suggestion a lot... I'd love to do that in LEGO.

I think Pharaoh's Quest has a TON of potential to continue into a variety of new Adventurer's-esque themes. Personally, I'd be much more interested in an Oriental theme than a Jungle one- I was never a huge fan of the jungle Adventurer's sets- but I'd love to see what LEGO does with either direction.

I like the idea of a jungle theme - but more Angkor Wat than Aztec perhaps. I'd love a waterfall with a hidden cave behind it (with treasures and ancient curses in it, of course), with the adventurers either shooting the falls in a boat or trying to climb past the falls on some kind of rope ladder.

I also like the idea of an arctic/antarctic expidition - a good opportunity for LEGO to make polar bears, whales, penguins etc, as well as more boats!
