New Brickland

Morning

FXAaJUV.png

All hell hath broken loose in the legislative chambers. No legislation is even being considered, nevermind voted on.

Z4dwySF.png

Archie and Lloyd discuss their favorite superheroes.

"I think Batman is a really complex character, man. He really gets me." Lloyd says, deep in thought.

"I have Batman PJs!

:sweet: " Archie exclaims.

P1710YX.png

Addie and Bjorn discuss what it means to be in government.

"And then I had to go on live television and announce the scandal - it was horrible!"

wNjVeME.png

Crusty old Peter stands alone. He hasn't had his medication today.

4bnuiZA.png

And crazy Molly lies drunk on the bench.

u3Puk50.png

The door opens and the familiar figures walk in.

xecLEPl.png

Justice Montgomery lets out a terrifying roar, one that would put even end-of-Day-Six-Siegfried to shame.

"Another one! You impeached another one! Bobby Benedict (Bob) was clearly Loyal!"

Addie lets out a sharp shriek and tries to get away. Even the Speaker seems mortified.

dVnjzq6.png

Everyone turns to face the Justice. How could this be?

uB0UPW3.png

"There's no more time for fooling around, you imbeciles! I want an Octan today - or else!!"

The Rules

1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Loyal Representatives or the Octan Corporation. To win the game, the Representaties must remove from office all the Octan Lobbyists, while the Octan Co. needs to outnumber the Reprsentatives. Third-Party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles.

2. Each day you will be able to vote to impeach a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player.

3. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of the night stage.

4. The alignment of impeached players, as well as those who are removed from office, will be revealed at the beginning of the following day.

5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage.

6. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread; you must always play the role given to you. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game.

7. If you are out of office, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on.

8. You may not edit your posts.

9. You must post in every day thread.

10. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM.

11. Violation of the above rules will result in a warning from the host on your first offense, and a removal from the game on your second.

12. Violation of rule 7 will have a heavier penalty, made at the discretion of the Games Moderator.

So Rep Benedict was loyal. I think our list of suspects is getting smaller. Mr. Speaker, I and I'm sure the other representatives, would clearly like to hear what you have to say. Bobby sure put a fight to get you out yesterday, you were so sure he was scum, and now he turns out to be loyal.

Any other thoughts from anyone? I see others here with me now. Why not say something?

Arrgh! I'm gonna kill Bob.

Oh well, either someone in my town block was infiltrated and I was duped, or scum just played him up a lot in PM to get him going like that yesterday.

The lynch today will be the town blocks decision, not mine.

I wasn't 100% sure he was scum, but I thought so. I know I can be a self-righteous dick sometimes, and some of that is just to tweak the scum, but some of that is because I can be a dick

I figured on three results coming out this morning:

1) Bobby was Octan, and I'd be vindicated.

2) there would be two kills, confirming the vig's existance, and I'd be vindicated.

3) The vig would kill a scum, since chances are good, and I'd be vindicated.

I couldn't imagine not one of those happening.

So, to Molly, Lloyd, and Addie:

You can rail against me as you see need to, but it's not up to you. The four of us who voted for Bobby have been working together since day three to catch the scum we have caught. All of us contributed, so I trust them. If they trust me, then one of you three is going (and I'm leaning toward Addie or Molly). If they are all town, then the town will win, we have the numbers (four of us, three of you, even with a night kill, we can't lose). If one of them was recruited, well, town will probably lose, since I it will be very hard to choose one of my three that have switched.

So basically Mr. Speaker, what you are saying here is 'it's us against you' kinda thing.

What I really think is that there are two scum left, and they are our Speaker and Rep. Callaghan.

I looked back at yesterday, post #9 to be exact, because it struck me as odd that our Speaker was so annoyed with Molly that he tried for a lynch of her on Day 6. He could have had her vig killed, or lynched even earlier, but he didn't. Why? Because they are scum buddies. In Post 9 on Day 6 our Speaker mentions how he will distance himself from allies by disagreeing in public. Molly then proceeds to annoy him so much he votes to lynch her. I voted second because I could see nothing useful from what she was doing, but I was wrong to vote so quickly. After I retracted my vote due to the evidence Bobby was gathering, the focus was no longer on Molly. I believe this initial focus was for the two scum to distance themselves from each other.

So for todays choice I think we should consider Mr. Speaker and Rep. Callaghan.

One thing to keep in mind is that I can't just have people vig killed. I'm not their boss. I can offer suggestions, but we work together, not they work for me. There really is no reason to think they have no opinion about how to use their roles.

If I were the vig, you can bet Molly wouldn't be here now.

I am quite happy to vote out Molly today, but I have pledged my vote to the town block. However they choose to vote, I will follow, for the sake of doing the work of the town.

They have to consult, since with the Bob lynch bugger up, they are going to worry about me. I recommended they plan night actions without me, since I don't need to know, and it will help assure them that I won't know too much even if recruited... Good idea, but the scum kill failed, so they have to ask if it would have gone through if I had been in on the plans (though if I were scum, the protector would be dead, and they aren't, so that's a town point for me).

I know I say I have a PR, but I'm just assuming that, I really don't know, they don't know, only the mysterious Tammo knows.

Of course there could be no recruiting, or just one recruitment, and Stanley just sowed the seeds of paranoia into the town with his message. Who knows. All I can say, while I will participate today, you will not see a repeat of yesterday's shenanigans.

Well everyone here is what happened yesterday. We, the town block, decided not to kill in case we killed a Loyal by accident. We didn't wan't to deminish our numbers by killing the wrong guy. Next we decided to investigate our town speaker since we weren't sure we could trust him. He came up non octan. So far Molly is our only non investgated member.

If there are 2 scum left Molly is most definately octan. If there is only 1 octan left, the godfather, Molly might be octan. But so could every other player who hasn't been proven to have a power role.

So at this point I guess Molly is our best option.

That's good to hear! And I will just say, there's no proof I'm not the godfather, but if I was, the town block would be in a lot worse shape by now. The scum took out Hatley, the blocker, and that would be the last person I would target in the group. The blocker does the least damage to scum.

I did find it interesting that Molly didn't explode in here with her regular gusto today to point a finger at me upon Bobby's death. I would call it irregular behaviour, but I don't know what exactly you would call "normal" with regards to her.

What does anyone make of Molly's behaviour today? She seems to have lost the plot. And can't spell the word stupid, even though computers come with auto-spell check in the 21st century, which is, to say the least, ironic.

I Am laughing at you two and your stupID and desperate attempt to come of as clean loyal townies. Especially Bjorns comment, because everybody still here can go through the past day threads and find that what he said is a lie. But that is up to everybody that is town to do.

And about the spelling, I am on my Android and I haven't turned on autospell check for english.

Oh and Hahahahaha in your face stupid scumbags. Come after me with something good. Hahahaha I Am getting drunk of your stupidity scum Speedy.

There's not much to come at you with. It's a matter of whether you can make a reason not to make yourself the lynch today. I was somewhat cleared by the town block for a second time, and the fact that scum failed to kill last night says to me that they weren't infiltrated.

You've been a clown all game, and obnoxious enough that I've made you a punchline to many, many jokes, but that time is over. If you have something to offer the town at all, I suggest you offer it publicly.

You suggested a few nights back that the watcher was lying because you used a night action on me (in thread and then more so in PM). Thing was, the watcher watched Hatley that night, and I was protected. Of course I wasn't going to spill anything to you. So I think you should just come out and say what you wanted from me today. The cards are on the table. The town block already is proposing you as the lynch, Addie, an outsider, proposes you as the lynch, and yeah, I'm perfectly happy with you as the lynch. You're going to be the lynch without a lot of townie action on your part. So I think you should explain yourself. You've been a hinderance to town since day one, today is your chance to be useful in some way. Please, the stage is yours. And please check your phone's spell-check before you perform :sweet:

I am happy with Mr. Speaker or Rep. Callaghan for an impeachment today. I still think you two are working together. Non-Octan is not necessarily Loyal, and your disagreeing publicly could be to put distance between you two. I would like to hear more from those on the town block, three still haven't said a word today.

Honestly, even if we were working together, we would hardly be working together. When I say, 'put a distance between the two,' I'm not talking the stuff Molly puts out.

Bobby sent me a PM saying that he suspected Archie, Tiny, and Addie. He made a strong push for Tiny and Archie, and then nothing much for Addie, and I took it as putting distance between him in you. He hard-accused two of the town-block, and so-accused his partner. It made me much more suspicious of you. I'm undecided, but, yeah, Bobby's PM made me much more confident that you were scum (reason #17 that Bobby's day seven activity made everything much worse for town).

The thing with me and Molly? I'm flattered that you think I'm so calm and cool that I could fake my real, real irritation with Molly. Sadly, truth is, she has been frustrating me pretty much from the start.

Day two, people started accusing her, and I let everyone know that I made her silent for 24 hours with my PR role. So she accuses me of being scum. I send her a PM to say, I blabbed town info to keep from derailing the discussion on her for no reason and that I won't do that again in the future with her behaviour. And she tells me not to give her sarcasm or something. Something about sarcasm. And that wasn't sarcasm. In the future, I honestly won't budge a muscle to help her case, since her scumdar is so utterly non-existent (or she's just scum, and has zero game, since you should play up to a townie doing you a favour). End result, I have doubts she understands what sarcasm actually is. I'd love to be a great liar and actor to fake this sort of stupid situation, but I'm not. It would get me an Oscar if I could. Molly just genuinely pulls this sort of annoyance out of me, and doesn't seem to be interested in playing the way other humans do.

Well, Mr. Speaker, this almost makes me think your town, almost. I will agree that Rep. Callaghan is yet again doing nothing at the start of a new day to help town. She is probably a better impeachment target for the day than you.

However I will disagree on the part of you 'wanting' to be a great liar and actor because in my past legislative experience with you that is exactly what you are. No matter which side of the issues you are on, that is how you play. My final decision though will be based on what others bring to the table. Again, some have not spoken yet and it will be interesting to see what they have to say.

I'm now 100% confident that there is no scum converter - there is no way that there could be so many "Not Octan" results if there was a converter. It was a clever ploy to make us doubt ourselves, and I'm kicking myself that I fell for it - it's one of the primary instigators of yesterday's debacle.

I fully support a lynxh of Molly (Mencot). By sheer process of elimination, she has to be scum, and if her only defense is to call us stupid then I have no doubts about where my vote is going.

Lloyd (LegoSpy) and Tiny (TPRU), I'm curious: how do you feel about a Molly (Mencot) lynch?

I feel that an impeachment of Molly is definitely our best option for today, given her behavior, and her almost non-existent defenses. She was also fairly quick to vote for Speedy yesterday, which in part, started somewhat of a bandwagon.

So what do you think happened last night then, there was no kill? Why wasn´t the scum able to do anything or why didn´t they do anything.

Why the vig didn´t do anything, is like Bob said and I agree with him on that point, the vig is gone. 3 nights in a row and no vig hit, that is suddenly one bad vig and town block that can´t make up their mind on who to kill. So that is one point were bjorn is lying, trying to seem like he knows what the town block does.

Well please do explain cause I know I am not lying...

Why now Bjorn, you step up and not before, like on any of the other days before this?

I feel that an impeachment of Molly is definitely our best option for today, given her behavior, and her almost non-existent defenses. She was also fairly quick to vote for Speedy yesterday, which in part, started somewhat of a bandwagon.

I see you as an loyal, but it is strange that still after the thing that happened yesterday with Bob, some people believe in the "scum block" not town block.

And bandvagon, 2 persons that agree with eachother is hardly and Bandvagon. The thing that happened on Bob was more of an bandvagon!?

Bob was town, shouldn´t that say anything to does who really are still loyal about the lies this "town block" produces.

I don´t know if Siegfreid is scum and until yesterday morning I was sure he wasn´t, hey I was with on a Bob lynch, but then he started playing and brought up some really good points. And now that he is gone and was loyal, it doesn´t look so good for Siegfried but it can be that the "town block" he so trust in is infiltrated by scum. So that he doesn´t see who is town and who is scum.

And were is Tiny?

Is he some sort of neutral, who just try to keep under the radar, so that he survives till the end or something.
