Very very interesting.

Could you add some words about the procedure showed in the video?

I'm not sure about the focal point of the trick.

Thanks, I'am glad you guys like it. :sweet:

This trick turn brick bug to feature. The bug that plate with holder will not clip onto perfect center of the 1x2 plate with stick. There are about 0.01cm (1/80 stud) off-center. Can use the bug to build a template for very fine move of bricks.

LDD TRICK #5:

View model in stereo 3D cross eye. (cross eye only, parallel eyes NOT working!)

No need 3D glasses. Just some practice. Left eye look at right minifig. Right eye look at left minifig. When you see three minifigs, the middle one become 3D. edit: Please use full screen, zoom in models and look at them close enough. If not may become not working: stereo 3D parallel eyes.

Wow, I didn't know LDD can handle simple mechanisms like that in the stereo view thing.

LDD TRICK #8

Sub-parts quick disassemble / change length:

Using flex tool bug, no need to edit LXFML text file.

Edit:

1st step: If necessary, build some rotation helper connected to sub-part(s) which will be "rotate" apart together.

2nd step: Use flex tool to click once on a sub-part which you will let it stay still while "rotate" apart.

3rd step: Then use hinge tool to rotate apart another sub-part(s). Before rotate with hinge tool, you may need to click more than once to until the appropiate green arrows of hinge tool show up.

For example: It is super easy to take apart minifig's hand. Just click with flex tool on the hand, then rotate(hinge) the arm.

Hi, nice tricks

is there LXF file?

I've tried with the turntable and LA and cant get it to work at all and i cant figure out why

I know you clicked on more than one part/sub-part before rotating but I don't know what that does

@bbqqq

1) Could you test if tricks #4a amd #4b works without advanced graphics and bricks outlining?

2) Trick #8 has not been indexed

3) Could you answer to private messages, please? :poke:

@Calabar

1) Yes, they works without advanced shading and bricks outlining, as the plates with holder/stick off-center bug still exit in every graphic modes.(LDD 4.3.6 brick ver.1128)

2) & 3) please check PM.

1) Very strange, I can't reproduce the trick in my computer with advanced graphics disabled.

Could you try to provide a step by step explanation for the trick? Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Can you reproduce the trick with advanced graphics enable? Please try to pause the video often and do the trick step by step. You may need to control your mouse more smooth and slowly to make sure the dummy plates connect in correct position.

LDD Trick #9

Average hinge aligned dummies to find accurate angle

Hinge align tool will not work with only one hinge-able align part which is not exactly correct length.

Trick #9 solves this problem and make hinge align tool become more useful.

Average angles of two RED = Acurate angle of the BLUE.

LDD Brewery MOC by tcybula.

The result 38.96° is exactly same as LXFML analyze method (90-38.96=51.04°, accurate at least two decimals).

Unfortunately I've not a computer where I can enable advanced graphics at the moment.

I already tried to follow the trick pausing the video, but with no success.

That's why I thought the tricks could work only with advanced graphics. Otherwise a step by step textual guide could show me where I'm doing wrong.

@Calabar

Please check are there seven different complete holding positions for plate 1x2 with stick? Then you can try #4c below.
