Banners..

Recommended Posts

I wanted to make a new banner, but I'm not sure of its size. Are there some size limits regarding the banners?

I shouldn't have to scroll on a 1600x1200 screen...

Seriously, as small as possible without making it unrecognizable.

Or you could be like Hobbes and not have a signiture :-P .

I set my banners to atleast 500 pixels if not smaller. This one may be bigger, I'm not sure.

It's what's in the post, not the signature ;-)

Not only don't I have a signature, I have them turned off, too (i.e. I don't see any). They're just distracting and unnerving...

The size limit is 50K, and there's no HTML allowed, BBCode is allowed. Anything you can fit in that is ok. The smaller the better, though...

Ah, and I have been using my banner for making some advertisement for my MOC threads.

I hope that only a minority turns them of. Let me use this topic on "banners" to show my latest banner to you Mr. Hobbes X-D

I have another question. Would I be allowed to use this banner? It will attract more attention I think :-D

That's actually not that bad. Reminds me of that painting about the battle of Trafalgar they have in the HMS Victory museum at the Portsmouth Royal Naval Dockyard (or whatever it's called)...

This painting is also showing the battle of Trafalgar, so it's probably the one you have seen.

But, would I be violating some forum rule if I used these handsome girls for advertising my MOC Mr. Hobbes?

Whatever you're trying to show, I only see the text "IPB image"...

Edit: Hm... I can see it now... weird... anyhoo, that's a creative way of advertising, I'd say ;-)

I forgot to put http:// in front of the link.

Firefox was happy with that, but IE didn't like it.

Now it should be fixed.

That's very strange |-/ . Maybe an older version of FF?

Well, it doesn't matter, it seems solved.

Ah, thanks Hobbes. You see, I come from a site (BZP) where rules are definitely stricter, so I wanted to be sure.

Bonaparte, that's...effective, I must say.
