Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted August 8, 2007 Well, not sure if this goes here but..... I got a perverted E-mail, and I'm checking all the lego related websites where my E-Mail Address has been posted. What I need to know is, do we have a Member on here that has the E-mail address: legotham@ohiohills.com, he sent me a disgusting E-mail, and I'm checking, I don't wanna hear, "People can find your email anywhere" I'm spicificly checking all the Lego related sites, as you can see, the word lego is in the address. Back to reality, if the domain was Lego related you might have a point, but it is the user name so it could be anyone. If it was extreamly rude ask "http://www.ohiohills.com/" for help. They will know who it is, but I bet they will not tell you. What do you expect us to do anyway? How would you like it if sites released your personal information to anyone? That is what you are asking us to do. My advice is to ignore it and move on. I receive hundreds of perverted EMails every day. I simply delete them. You posted this in the wrong section as well. I have an SBC Global address so my spam filter catches about 99% of spam. And I get about 150 messages a day of pure spam *wacko* . My advice would be to make sure your spam filter gets this guy's e-mail. I'll move this to the website and forum...er, forum, and lock it since there's really nothing that can be done about it from here. If an admin sees it and feels like running a search (which also isn't illegal) they will. The appropriate thing to do would be PM an admin to ask nicely. They may or may not do it, but I wouldn't bet on it. Try contacting the site mentioned above, but there's probably nothing they can (or will) do either. I'd recommend just helping your spam filter by marking it, and trying to forget it. Good luck. Edit: To A_F and Sinner's last post, everyone here is supposed to be 18 or over when they sign up for this site, so that doesn't really hold. Your email can be traced from anywhere, and it probably doesn't come from any lego website. And btw, this kind of crapy emails mainly occures when you browsed some XXX websites. I own over twenty domains that I manage for clients (listen to that ego... :-$ ) and every one of them get spam-blocked because someone has farmed their domain and pulled all possible generic e-mails that can go with that domain. The fact that that domain is listed as the sender practically proves that that person did not send it. :-P so there. ;-) Sorry to give you a hard time. You live, you learn. I recieve EMails from admin@MYOWNSITE.com and similar all the time telling me that I need to go the a certain site and enter in my account details!
