Mlcad and Ldraw library: same library?

Recommended Posts

Good evening all and HAPPY NEW YEAR, may 2013 be a wonderful year for everyone :) !

As I read here http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=77512 there's a new update.

I installed it -everything worked fine - but only for Mlcad! I use most of the time Leocad to model my constructions and then I import the file into Mlcad to set up the last bricks...that aren't avaiable in Leocad, so the update didn't work for bricks used in Leocad.

How can I set up the same library for Mlcad and Leocad?

Thank you very much! :D

MLcad and LeoCad both use the LDraw parts library, so in theory they should work. I don't know much about LeoCad, but maybe there's an option to refresh the library cache or something like that?

Did you used the LDraw all-in-one installer to install MLcad and LeoCad?

Yes I used the all in one installer. If I open Leocad's folder, there's a file named "pieces.bin" which is 92 megabyte, so I think that's its library, in fact Leocad misses some pieces that are part of Mlcad :)

Thanks

I think I know the problem; you're probably using an older verion of LeoCad. the newest version (wich came out a few weeks ago) now "uses the LDraw library directly". So, try installing the newest version to see if it works :classic:

I downloaded the newest version and now I can see a lot of new pieces. Thanks "legolijntje"!

Could you please give me a hand in this similar topic? Thanks : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65639

Have a good evening all! :)
