Hello there guys! There's a lot of action going on the front illustration of the box... At the back side of the box we can see the various play functions from the set, like the floor trap, the green balls getting out of the snake's mouth and the red torpedoes! All the figures are illustrated at the side of the box. In order: Jay, Zugu,Kapau'Rai and finally Chen. The contents of the set. It consists of an instructions booklet, sticker sheet and four medium bags with pieces. Sticker sheet of the set. The one with the snake is pretty nice The instructions booklet is small.Expected judging from the set's size. The first page from the instructions booklet, illustrates the use of the brick seperator and starts of by assembling the minifigures. At the end of the instructions booklet, there is a list with all the parts used in the set. Also, the various play functions are illustrated here once again. We can also see an ad regarding the Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin video game and the tablet/phone application from Ninjago. At the following pages, all Ninjago series sets of 2015 are being illustrated. The white snake caught my attention from set 70750. Let's go on and see the minifigures from the set. Lloyd Charming ninja minifigure, I can't say I liked it... Helmet printing is nice... From the back side, with his weapons on, we can see the figures is pretty badass. Its a pity the tiles arent printed... Zugu An amazing figure in my opinion... This one, together with Chen instantly caught my attention with their amazing pieces. His shoulders are well designed and in great color...! His face printing also is great and reminds a cannibal... His helmet also is a great piece... The backbone is top notch... Really like this part... Hmmm... I am a bit confused... Kapau'rai Here is the little snake of the companion...He has a beautiful chest printing and overall the purple color is a great touch! One hand is purple while the other one is dark red His sword is amazing... Chen This is my favourite figure from the set... Simple perfect. His headpiece gives a "status" to whichever custom figure you make in your mocs. Dark red fits nicely with black color... Chestpiece has an amazing printing too! Back side printing reminds me of Karate Kid A whole figure from every aspect. Jay In similar levels with Lloyd, another ninja. With a trendy eyebrow His Sai are nice... The printings are quite nice for "ninja" but it doesn't fit my taste to be honest... Only chestpiece has backside printing. Let's open the first bag...! Its contents. Interesting parts (The scabbard is very useful for the figures, also the bone-helmet is something unusual and interesting, the locks are a nice addition while the chest has a beautiful printing, finally the shoulders with the backbone is one of the best accessories for "bad guys" I have ever seen... I wish there was a Zugu mnifig-army building set) Let's see how it goes... Ups... I must be careful here... I am almost there... Man.... I ended up being a bone collector... First part of the set is ready.... Yeyyy.....! Let's see what's in the second bag... Interesting pieces (The purple round corner bricks are instantly catching our attention with their shiny look... The snake's mold is pretty nice and finally the swords.. ..are AMAZING...) Let's go make the second part... I have to watch out if I really wanna finish this set. Ouffff... I am really tired.... Here we can see how the floor trap works. Second part finished...! Let's open the third bag... [/url Its contents. Interesting pieces (As I have already mentioned, the bone-helmets are nice, also the dark tan minifig heads and finally the dark tan slopes are pretty useful...! ) Let's put some folliage here... Some bones... for feng shui Third part is finished... Yeyyy! Let's open the fourth and final bag! Its contents Interesting pieces (The plants are pretty useful and not so common, the two bone helmets as I have already mentioned are amazing, the spider web is pretty useful for mocs and finally the round printed shield piece is well designed!) Hmm... Whats this triangle now? Ah... Now I see... Let me put the spider web around here... (We can see that at the back side there are plenty rooms with traps and treasures ) Brighter than Gold... We finally finished the set... Now its ready for game! Enjoy guys! Here we can see how the torpedoes and the snake's mouth work. Spare parts Critique: A beautiful designed set, with GREAT figures and many useful parts. Design: 9/10 The set consists of two bases, sticking together with a bridge. The overall scene fits together nicely. Price/Pieces: 9/10 The set has many parts and figures so I would say its a good value for money, specifically for someone liking the parts colors too! Playability: 10/10 Great play functions with favourite one the torpedoes...! Construction: 9/10 Simple and entertaining contruction procedure. Total: 9,25/10 I would say a beautiful and useful set for mocers, for sure its a great set for play too as a whole! enjoy Edited July 28, 2016 by Gunman
josykay Posted July 28, 2016 Really nice review of an interesting set. Although I am not a fan of Ninjago, I got to admit, there are some really great minifigure parts. A great 50 € set, worth it's money, with a lovely playability, which is well built into the structure. And one of those sets, where the "Baddies" look just so much better than the protagonists. PS: Really nice collection of spare parts. I love, how today there are additional weapons. :)
Littleworlds Posted July 28, 2016 I wasn't impressed when i saw this set, but after your review I have changed my mind. These bone accessories are really cool. Awesome work! Brilliantly done!
HoganPrime Posted July 28, 2016 I am a huge ninjago fan though I get why a lot of people don't rate it. I think many older afols (no age offence intended) prefer the classic ninja/samurai days, same with how many would prefer a classic castle series over nexoknights. Anyway, as I was saying since leaving my dark age ninjago has really taken over my home but the tournament of elements was the one wave that I just haven't really collected. I only got round to buying the titanium dragon and was given Coles plane as a gift. I have almost everything of every other set post 2011 but yeah I just can't seem to enjoy this particular wave... Still though, great review and I love your narration while showing the build.
gamejutzu Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) Anyway, as I was saying since leaving my dark age ninjago has really taken over my home but the tournament of elements was the one wave that I just haven't really collected. I only got round to buying the titanium dragon and was given Coles plane as a gift. I have almost everything of every other set post 2011 but yeah I just can't seem to enjoy this particular wave... I'm not as ecstatic about this wave as well... I feel like I was more exited bout pretty much every other wave but this one. I guess I don't like the jungle tone. One hand is purple while the other one is dark red That is done on purpose. If you study the printing you will notice that the the red armor continues down to his arm as a sleeve. Kai in 2012 ad Jay in 2012 has the same effect as well. Edited July 29, 2016 by gamejutzu
