New Mannum Ford doesn't sell too many cars, but also is a tractor and farm machinery dealer too.....so you might guess at how big this MOC might end up being ! I do have two other photos, but where I'm at the moment - upload speed is snail's pace ! More to come later, comments welcome and keep on watching everyone ! gotoAndLego Posted April 26, 2011 (edited) In the US dealerships have several cars inside the showroom; you'd have to build it a lot larger for that. Looking good so far and that angled window technique, which is a very simple thing, looks surprisingly good; a variation of it is used on the Queen Anne's Revenge and it makes the rear look so much better. lightningtiger Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks 'gotoAndLego', 'AJ' and 'Fuzzy', for your comments, etc., now size....well in Australian country towns car dealers are generally small...rarely displaying more than one to three cars in the showroom. The reason is that the dealer also sells other products to keep the cash comming in....i.e. farm equipment sales, auto accessories....sometimes tyre/battery sales, tools, etc., the list goes on. Thanks for the suggestion, the mags might be an issue because I'm planning on using the narrow tyres from the jeep and postial service car of 2008. I have already started rough drawings of the front end and side view of the car. Once I have built a prototype then I'll worry about what colour I'm doing. Legoless Posted April 26, 2011 Shows that small Ford dealers look the same the world over! I can think of a few small UK dealerships that look a bit like that (well, slightly larger but one has to scale down for Lego). One tip if you have the capability to produce transparent stickers (they are available from specialist mailorder companies) would be to signwrite the windows with the latest promotions. And, being a garage, it would be interesting to see some wrecked vehicles awaiting repair (eg missing a wing or a door). Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
