Need Help Building a Track

Recommended Posts

I need help building my first custom Lego train track. I have had these tracks for a few years but am only getting in to it now.

I have:

  • 28 Straights
  • 42 Curves
  • 15 Flexible Track pieces
  • 1 Double Crossover track
  • 1 Left switch
  • 1 Right switch
  • 1 Cross track

I also have a Green Cargo Train and a Red Passenger Train

Help on getting a track designer for mac that supports all these pieces would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Just pick a surface you want to build on (floor, table or tables, or whatever) and start laying track, see what you can do!

Hi all,

As Euan wants to run on a Mac, Bluebrick isn't 'off the shelf' in the way that the LEGO track planner is and would need a .NET application (Bluebrick site gives a link to Mono) to run.

I'd suggest it's well worth the effort though, I really like the layering and easy addition of new sets in Bluebrick (haven't run it on a Mac myself yet though).

Cheers,

LLL

Searching for Mac programs I stumbled upon http://www.railmodeller.com/ , which happens to have a 9V set of tracks along with 12V and Monorails too. The only downside is you can't save the layouts from the free demo (But you can always screencap them for later use).
