MOC: African City II

Recommended Posts

Sorry, some pictures are just horrible but I don't have a good place photographe my MOC's...

I don't think that this MOC is as good as the first one (I mean this one) but I'm still proud  (base: 80x80)

This is really neat Ezechielle! You've certainly done a great job here, did you bricklink those heads? The different designs and aesthetics of the buildings really shows the work you put into them, and the foliage area complete with tank is great too. Terrific job!

Batbrick Away!

Thanks!

And yes, I bought the heads on Bricklink! I wish I could have more... I wanted to make a market, but I don't have enough minifigs. I'll buy a few more to make it!

I do agree that the first one was better, but this one is still very good. I like the train station

You have well captured the atmosphere. I would have added more garbage and probably more run down buildings but anyway yours is very nice colorful change to MOCs. I said earlier that I had a plan to introduce brown minifigures to my town as well but still I have not done any BL purchases. Your MOC reminds me again that I should progress with my plan.

Thank you for interesting neighborhood, very suitable for some arms dealing or other lucrative deals :pirate:

Just as wonderful and highly detailed as your precedent one. A capital BRAVO!

As Marko says you really get the atmosphere and details like the advertising or the rusty tank are magnificent touches :classic:

Thanks for positive feedback!

I wanted to make a "normal" city this time. My only concession to the civil war is the tank, rusting because I wanted to point that the war had finished a long time ago... (and also because I found it interresting to build  ). The real problem of this diorama is, by my opinion, that this city looks to "empty", not enough animated, four an "african" city...

AWESOME! Totally original idea, great cars, great scenes, and so much cool packed on 160 studs. Sad with the tank, though. I really dig that little yellow pickup truck! Keep it up!

It looks very good - I've been to Dar-Es-Salaam on the African east cost and it depends what area of the city your in - the older town centres bustle now and then (generally rush hour), but are actually generally empty except near main roads...so you've done a very good job. I admit a few more here or there would be better, but you don't have to add too many - the train station could do with a few, expecially...
