AoM Wall 2

Recommended Posts

Haven't build something for AoM in ages so decided to get back into it.

Nothing fancy though, just a simple wooden wall:

Nice, but I'd recommend to add a bit more to This. Considering It is a Phase II build, maybe a tower or SO would fit?

Your photography improved!

Looks nice. I agree with Titus, your photography has really improved! Although I do think a 3/4 view would be nice.

I like that you textured it by adding dark brown, and the texture on the ground is good!

That is a nice little snow drift there! I also like the light tan (or whatever the official name for the color is) at the top of the posts. I will agree that a tower would be nice, or at least a guard's shack or something to make it a bit more substantial, but nonetheless it looks good.

Good photography, and snow-scaping  The uneven palisade, with dark brown mixed in looks quite nice, though as others have mentioned, a small building fit in somewhere would be great. Or even a wagon or cart traveling along next to it :classic:

Thanks for the comments! It shows why Guilds of Historica is so good, you get advice instead of just 'Nice'

I agree it's a bit weak for Phase II, was sorting and found my Mitgardian soldiers again so got a bit too excited

Will update this in the next coupe of days

Great to see you back here again, Puvel, the snow and wall look very nice, and I too like the tan on top of the poles! While a building or something of that sort (as the others mentioned) would be nice, if you had the pieces I would recommend maybe also adding another row of posts in front, and perhaps curving the wall a little bit to add more visual interest

Don't worry, getting too exited for Mitgardia is an moral impossibility (well, probably, at least...)! Definitely happy to see you building for the Guilds again! :excited:

Nice build. I really like the uneven wall with the light tan on top. The texture on the ground is also very good. Though I would suggest, like the other users, maybe a guard post or something, the build is still very impressive, and fits very well into Mitgardia.

Great update! Always very encouraging to see builders putting advice to good use  The SNOT tiles for the back wall give a very nice texture, and I like the wedge plates used to give the roof a more unique shape

Updated the build a bit with a second row of posts and made the wall a bit curvier.

Also added a little guard shack with a guard practising his flute, the original guard is on patrol now.

Thanks for the advice, guys!

Much nicer! The small roofed area adds just the right amount of detail and a focal point for the build. I like that the palisade is now two logs thick, too.

Excellent phase II build, Puvel! The varying heights of the palisade is great, and I like the bits of snow and ice on the roof

Nice detail with the tree stump too :classic:
