Sorry, what's the point of showing something, but then ummm, not showing it? We can wait couple of days till you finish the model or editing video/pictures.

wow zux, salty much?

jk, but it is done, I just haven't finished editing the vid yet. also I haven't uploaded a vid in like, weeks, so I wanted to make something to fill some time. plus it was a rather large project for me, and I figured this was fitting for a large project like this.

I agree with zux. His comment does not sound salty to me. It is a valid point.

Many have large projects and just wait to post when the project is actually done. Not much utility in a post like this other than those that are personal. Which make sense and are valid, just not very community-driven.

why do movies have trailers

Because the trailer actually shows something interesting what creates audience . Maybe a photo of the shape of the car(with the light behind it, so we only see the black shape) could work better in this case Edited by LXF

Well, we already had a similar discussion sometime ago, where majority (if not all) agreed nobody likes posts without content (question, problem, MOC, review, etc.). There is nothing to discuss, "like" or do anything else.

We have WIP topics here which would count as a trailer. But then again, it should be a proper topic, with pictures already in the first post, not just list of functions you wish to include. Basically you already have to show something. They are fun to read, see how project progress and how you deal with various issues.

Edit: found the old topic (linked).

Because the trailer actually shows something interesting

I'd say the video already shows something interesting - the car seems too wide, or so the relative size of wheels to body width suggests.

That being said, if the author can't see difference between a movie trailer and a few seconds of something he filmed with his mobile, showing mostly darkness and carpet, then well... here's a movie trailer, for reference:

This doesn't count, it has Margot Robbie in it, so the suicide squad trailer will always be better. ;-)

Just joking, I agree with Sariel, but I also think it is time to stop the negativity. He has learned his lesson. We all made some mistakes, so did he.

I look forward to more pics MRP!

A teaser (as the title suggest) is usually published for something that lots of people have been anxiously awaiting for.

Well, like JGW said; enough with the negativity.....show us the pictures!!

first of all, Sorry for being so stubborn with you guys. at this point, I'm just going to finish editing the video and release that, because I feel I can't really show much more without giving too much away. if this seemed out of place, that's probably because it kind of is. this was mainly intended for my youtube channel, to show what I'd been working on for the past month of no uploading. I just figured I'd post it here as it was the first large project I felt met my standards that I was comfortable with posting. I guess I kind of rushed it and forgot about the outside perspective of it. but thanks everyone for the, uuuh, I'll say constructive criticism, I'll make sure to take your advice in the future. sorry if I disappointed anyone...

I think the dust has settled again. You could consider starting a MRP_'s workshop / attic / pipeline / shed / corner / saloon / studio / whatever topic where you can feel a bit more free to post what you think is worth posting.

Meanwhile I'm anxious to see more.

My latest project, ANOTHER trophy truck, hopefully this genre isn't too oversaturated yet... either way, Hope you enjoy!

btw this is mainly a show model, meaning I focused more on looks that function. not that it doesn't function, it just doesn't really compare well to some other creations in this genre of vehichle

pictures should come soon, as soon as I have time to look into image hosting services, as I don't really use any currently... does anyone know if google photos or whatever it's called works?

The truck looks very good, the rear axle has a lot of travel, and about the image hosting service (if the case is for resize images) i use bricksafe.
