Araziel Posted March 11, 2012 [pid][/pid] LDD 10D Hi Everyone :) Today I'd like to share with you all my first LDD Pirate Ship creation! I wanted to make a ship that had the sheer intimidating size of the Lego Imperial Flagship, but could also chase you down no matter how hard you tried to flee! The color scheme was inspired by both the Black Pearl and The Queen Ann's Revenge (which I have the pleasure of owning this awesome ship since my recent birthday!) The main body and front (sorry no ship lingo here XD) as you can see are very much like the Imperial Flagship, however I've heavily modified it to get a sleeker longer look, the back of the ship is my own design that evolved through experimentation, my only regrets are that the program itself has no sails! XD Without Further ado, I Present to you, THE SEA WOLF! I hope you all enjoyed my ship THE SEA WOLF All comments are welcome :)
SuperSirLink Posted March 11, 2012 Looks like a highly modified Imperial Flag Ship. If you plan to build this, you might find those robot legs are not easily obtained in great quantities and can be pricey... Looks good though!
kartracer21 Posted March 11, 2012 That is cool and would probably cost a lot are u trying to make it not digitally?
Araziel Posted March 12, 2012 I probably won't ever get the chance to build this for real. I don't have nearly enough money or parts as I recently just got back into lego. However I will probably buy up ships and see what I can do with combined parts. The SEA WOLF alone was a massive project for me, even if it was just digital, it made me appreciate the sheer scale and effort it would take. However I think this ship would look EPIC in real life :) WITH SAILS!
Admiral Croissant Posted March 12, 2012 Nice ship. I like how you've combined classical elements from the IFS and other ships with your own ideas. However, could you please resize your pictures? The maximum allowed size is 800X600 pixles. If you've done so, I'll put this ship in our index
SirSven7 Posted March 12, 2012 are those droid legs for railings? thats a very good idea I really like the wolf figure head too, great LDD build
Sebeus I Posted March 12, 2012 Nice use of the alien legs, I have a few of those, might just use them on a ship as well. This is a pretty nice ship but can you please remove the awful pole on the bowsprit ? I see you copied that from the imperial flagship but it is very inaccurate in regard to historical ships. Other than that it looks great
Araziel Posted March 12, 2012 Hi Guys :) I resized the pics as requested! And just to clear things up about the railing, it's not droid legs, those are martian legs from the Lego Mars Mission series :) And I'll probably get around to removing the pole someday XD

Walter Posted March 15, 2012 What a marvelous vessel! The Sea Wolf is such an appropriate name for it, and the color choice is lovely. Would LOVE to see this made in physical bricks.

Gahrian Posted March 19, 2012 Looks great! I hope you'll present it in real bricks some day.
TheLegoDr Posted March 19, 2012 That looks absolutely beautiful. I love the color scheme the most. The overall build is brilliant. Great part usage. I also really like the figurehead. Very clever build. I may have to modify some of my ships and come up with something brilliant like this. Keep up the great work.

Thanks TheLegoDr! :) My original plan for this ship was a black red and grey color scheme but once I saw how well the creamy bone color went so well with the red bits on the sides and how it could be used to define parts of the ship so they didn't blend into everything as much, I was hooked XD I really liked how it looked with the black too :)
