It’s very busy in the Parisian Restaurant. As a scooter zips by, inside the waiter rushes between the tables as the nervous young man gets ready to propose with the ring! It’s just as hectic behind the scenes, with the chef busily preparing the food. This beautifully detailed building is the setting for so many stories and is a great addition to the modular building series. The Parisian Restaurant has a fully-stocked, blue and white tiled kitchen with tableware as well as a cozy apartment with pull-down bed, kitchenette and fireplace. On the top floor is the artist’s room with a studio that includes a cast iron heater, easel, paintbrush and two works of art by the aspiring artist. Outside, stairs lead down to the roof terrace lined with hanging lanterns and flowers where the diners eat alfresco-style. This amazing Parisian Restaurant model even includes a facade with croissants, clams and feather details that recapture the feel of Paris. ...and this is now good to go public! Looks like a great set; I love the use of elements like the white croissants, grey feathers, and white seashells.

Looks pretty good. I'll have to pick this one up, and I was hoping not to pick up any sets for awhile.

Okay, now I can talk about this set! Wow... what a set. This is probably my favorite modular. There's so much stuff going on. I was disappointed by the last two modulars, but this definitely made up. I love the olive color scheme, the dinning area, the outer stairs, the baseplate, the rolling pin, the fact that there is a frickin' adorable story behind the set, and so on.

The $10 price raise is inconsistent, but that kind of went for the Town Hall set. Additionally, the fact that it's coming out in January might mean that I'll be able to get it for my birthday if there is an early release in December! :sweet:

Also, loving the new moped and flower-pot pieces. :classic:

I'm so fascinated by this new bowl piece, I don't know why.

And that scooter!

Awesome! - This may be my fav. I'm also very pleased that Lego is adjusting their Canadian pricing to be more comparable to US pricing. $30 difference vs $50 in the past - though not close to par, which is what the exchange rate it, it's a step in the right direction.

Amazing amount of details and great colour scheme. Thanks OP for the fantastic HD pictures!

Scooter!!!

By far the best modular building in the series, in my opinion.

Scooter!!!

By far the best modular building in the series, in my opinion.

I echo both sentiments - I think I'll definitely pick up one (or two!) of these. And all that olive green is so pretty

This is awesome. I love all of the little details. The white croissants work really well here. The color scheme is great. That scooter  . They incorporated a lot of little things in it, which is great. I don't particularly care for how small the top loft is. Nice idea to make it accessible, but would prefer it to be a little bigger/taller.

My main concern is then trying to show it next to the current modular which is a corner and this isn't. Shouldn't they have placed it on the side?

And the price increase isn't wanted. But it does have a few hundred more pieces, so it can be justified. But more than likely it will be the new trend, just like the winter village sets.

Wow! What a nice set! I was reading all the buzz and thinking "yeah, sounds nice, blah blah", but having seen it, it has totally changed my opinion of this set!! I love the interior and the new building design. The moped looks pretty good too. I've got a few modulars, but have fell off the modular wagon, as my street scape had run out of room. Now I have to work out where to put it!! Well done to Jamie and his team!!

This set made my morning (and day)! I'm up too early for a Saturday, however, it was worth seeing this pictures. There's too many details I like, and the colour scheme is lovely. I'm sure I want more than one of these.

I haven't been this impressed by a LEGO set in a long time. So many fantastic details and building techniques. The scooter is a great new mold that I am sure will be used a lot in the future. I agree with others this is easily the best modular to date, and bumps Cafe Corner down the list.

Wo! Definitely love it. The design is very cute and special from other modular buildings. I didn't know it could be revealed so early!

The only thing I would like to complain is the color. This kind of yellow is a bit dull. I hope there will be one of deep purple.

Wow, this set is truly amazing!

It very much reminds me of a mix between cafe corner and Green Grocer. There's a lot of Green Grocer-like design in there. It's interesting to note how they did the box art, with this set beside the corner set on the right, which they normally do not do. Also, note that Pet Shop, Fire Brigade, and Grand Emporium are all absent on the box art.

I hope Lego keeps their CDN/USD pricing for other sets like this one. Maybe they have finally realized that their Canadian dollar pricing needs to be more in-line with the USD pricing, which on this set is much more realistic. I hope it isn't a mistake!

Wow! This is just great! I usually get 2 copies of the modulars (1 to build, 1 for parts), but because of the colors I may just wind up with 3 of this one!

Price increase, not so much... As I recall a typical modular ha around 2,200 parts, this one has more than 2,400 parts. To me that more than justifies the price increase. Geesh, too many things I need (beside LEGO), I must priortize, somehow.

Thanks to the team designing this model (I assume Jamie was lead).

Amazing looking set, great details everywhere except that are modular houses shrinking in psf (per square feet) as the year goes by? The piece count are all consumed by the small plates and details while overall room/building size have shrinked to a new height..
