How to embed YouTube videos

Recommended Posts

Can someone show me how to embed this video into a forum post?

I keep getting a link instead of the video when using the media tags.

Remove the "s" in https:// after you paste the link into the media tag so that it is http instead of https.

You don't actually need to use the media tag here. Simply use the URL from YouTube (not eh share link they provide). Like the other said, you must remove the 's' from 'https'. Paste the modified URL into the post and the board will automatically add the appropriate tags to embed the video.

Using HTTPS means the communication between you and YouTube is encrypted. It makes harder for someone to figure out what you are watching if they tried to sniff your Internet traffic.

Great. :classic:

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is the wrong area to discuss, but how do you add a youtube video to this forum so it has the screen shot, not just a hyper link?

Using url will also work and save you 4 keystrokes from typing media twice. :classic:

But you need to change https to http so it embeds with the screenshot.
