Is eldorado fortress better?
I guess it all depends on your opinion.
I love the little merchant ship and all the buildings, it looks really nice
Eldorado fortress is also very nice and has more soldiers
:)
What do you think?

As for the question...
It depends what kind of base you're looking for. Both sets are aptly titled - Eldorado Fortress is a Fortress and The Imperial Trading Post is a Trading Post.
So if you want something with strong defensive capabilities then get Elodrado Fortress. If you want a place to sell and trade goods then get the Imperial Trading Post.

I plan to buy them both including box and instructions.
So I won't choose between them because I want them both.

So if you really want a good build-up model I would go for the Eldorado Fortress, it has more soldiers and more bricks.
The imperial Trading Post has more plates and yellow arches and of course three cannons instead of two.
In the end however I would suggest you buy them both and put them next to eachother with the little harbour in between. I leave the tough decission of deciding which one to buy first up to you >8-)

But what about recommending just one for Mr Piranha who has to decide between one or the other?

Jep. They are still missing in my collection and I won't buy anything else before I get them.

In that case I suggest to flip a coin to make that decision. You can't compare them.
A military fortress is completely different from a trading post/harbor.

Indeed, we need more input from Mr. Piranha.
But in the end he'll has to make this decision by himself.

Yes, we do indeed. We still don't know what kind of base he's after - military or trading?
Well obviously, its not like we can dictate the decision for him can we? X-D But he asked for an opinion so that's what I'll give him as soon as I get more information.
Sorry I usually check back once a day
Anyway I am looking for um er both :-D
I like both of them, but deciding which one is somewhat hard
I finally decided to go with Enchanted Island, wait that wasn't one of my choices............

Again, hard to pick between but I'll go for the Eldorado fortress cause I have 4 of them but only 1 trading post.

It should be in perfect condition including the original box and instructions.
Now I just hope the condition of the set is as good as I was told.

It was rather expensive but I won't mind as long a it is in perfect condition as promised.
Now I'll start hunting for an Eldorado Fortress (including box).

And I don't have enough space at the moment to display all my sets, so it is convenient to store them in a box (preferable the original box). But sometimes I doubt it is really worthwhile spending all that extra money to get the set including the box.
What do you think?
