rriggs Posted January 19, 2014 Hi I recently acquired all of the 2014 Castle sets and decided to combine them with my LOTR sets into one large castle. I wanted to built "up" rather than "out" as is typical of LEGO castles and wanted to include a keep in the castle too. I also wanted to modify the sets I was combining as little as possible so, apart from removing little bits here and there, turning the odd brick around and removing the blue from the 2014 castle modifications have been minimal. I tried to avoid symmetry where possible too. Still some tweaking to do but overall I am very happy with the result. Cheers Rog
Alfadas Posted January 19, 2014 It looks cool, it is a very cool castle. Great work!
Gunman Posted January 19, 2014 Nice compination of the sets man. Cool result. (friendly advice: try photographing the moc in an evenly lighted place and not backlighted so it looks better :) )
The Architect Posted January 19, 2014 Impressive end result.

rriggs Posted January 20, 2014 Thanks for the feedback guys. The lighting was a shame - although shouldn't complain about a nice sunny morning - but I have had precious little time to photograph recently but will try and take a better picture or two if I can...
