Pharoah Quest Museum

Recommended Posts

Having built the Pharoah's Quest pyramid set I then turned to carting the pieces off to my museum for my city. The photos are of the museum with the set re-built to create a tomb feeling. The only bricks I had enough of to build the walls were red and not to my liking. I hope to get the Atlantis set to create a more fitting facade and replace the red with either white or tan.

An overview of the whole building with the tomb on the left and half-track on the right.

When coming into the museum you will see the half-track on the left in a desert setting.

Before going into the tomb a few artefacts are displayed, the tomb entrance guarded by two warriors. Entrance and interior of the tomb.

The whole museum is quite big at 46 studs wide so I plan to build a smaller museum without the halftrack being displayed inside but on stand outside the museum but I will retain the interior layout almost as it is.

Ok, I don't know why anyone has commented yet, so I'll do it. The Musuem (interior) is great and captures the feeling of both the ancient egypt and the general layout of a room in a museum very good. It inspires me to make something like this too. Only lacking the money and room to do so :hmpf_bad: The exterior might need some work, altough I doubt that was your main point of this moc :classic:

Like wise, I don't know why no has commented either 'Brickviller', 'KeepLeft' you have designed an excellent interior of a museum.

Please post the updated one soon.

Nice! Cool job! I would take away the car, as it kind of takes away the "Ancient Egypt" of it, and makes it more modern.

Nice little museum there. I think a slight change in colourscheme around the area with the half-track, or add a display surround that would present it as a display of the brave adventurer who discovered the wonders you are about to see. Maybe space out the room a little more. Then again space and parts are at a premium, so efforts thus far are pretty good

Reminds me of my visit to a museum in Bristol, I had gone shopping but had lost my bearings, I popped into the museum as they often have tourist maps of the city and lo and behold there was a display of Egyptian Relics to my left and a massive old fashioned plane hanging from the ceiling dead ahead!

This is really nice, the only thing I would say is that I'd actually like to see it a little bigger with a bit more space between relics.

You could do a nice moc of the British museum or there again maybe the museum in cairo is what you're going more for here.

Thanks for your comments which have been helpful. Alas my museum is no more as I needed the parts for my city. I still though plan to have a museum in it I will just have the Egyptian artefacts and maybe less in it as it did seem a bit crowded. (Thats the only drawback to living in a Lego city as you can wake up to find your much loved museum is now part of a beach, church and other construction.)
