Hello,

I recently installed LDD for the first time on my Windows 8.1 laptop.

I notice anytime I start it, it says "Installing Bricks" and downloads over 159.50 MB of data out of 159.93 MB... But it never reaches the end, it always stops before the end and says "Bricks Download Failed" with the message "LDD cannot access the web server to retrieve new bricks.Do you want to run in offline mode?"

And I have to hit Yes to use the software, hitting No closes it.

I've manually added the exe file to the Winodws Firewall exemption list.

I've Googled but only finding questions from years ago about an older version- does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?

It's not just you, I have the same issue, except that I can't even run in offline mode. Hopefully the LDD team will fix it soon though... :sceptic:

Best bet in this situation is actually to call LEGO customer services. Firstly, they do actually once in a while have info about the cause of the problem. And if not, they will pass the question on to the LDD Team so they also get some "official" complaints (e.g. not only from us AFOLs).
