MOC: Meter Maid Interceptor

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I'm kind of new here, and I really signed up to check out the Pirates section, but I figured I might as well share something I've built as well. I'm from San Francisco, and the bane of my existence is the parking police. They harass motorists with juvenile tickets which they say can be contested but never really get reviewed. Anyway, I made an MOC of one of their little "interceptors." The tough part was getting the front wheel in the right place.

And of course I had to make a little scene with it as well:

Thanks for looking!

Wow! I've never seen a vehicle like this captured in LEGO and you've done it perfectly. I was stunned when I saw the photograph of the real-life version and saw how closely it resembled your own model.

I am also impressed that you are able to capture such a complex design using some of the most basic LEGO elements. Well done!

Brilliant! You've really captured the look of the vehicle perfectly!

I especially love the comeuppance scene with the minifig putting the boot on the interceptor

Excellent MOC of the real one 'TerranCmdr' - only headlights are missing from it !

You got the shape right and colours spot on !

And he's been clamped well like the old saying goes 'Payback's a b.....!' - you fill the blank !

Fantastic job and I'm a conformist! 'TerranCmdr' I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Oh no, now the minifigures must suffer the wrath of the METER MAID.

Very nice accurate moc TerranCmdr.

I like how the meter maid has the angry face like the meter maids in real life do.

Well done TerranCmdr. This is a unique vehicle and you've captured it perfectly. This would look great in a layout as it's something different but part of everyday existance.

Awesome build! I live in Phoenix, Az and you cannot go downtown without running into the parking police. They drive something very similar. Let's get together and tip a few over! LOL

Nice job TC, and welcome to EB! Simple little vehicle, but you've done a great job at creating in LEGO. Good color combination and I like that slanted front cab, just like your inspiration image. This would make a good LEGO City add-on.

NOTE: please be aware that our max image size is 800x600 next time you post though - thanks.

Front-paged!

Very nice :classic: , I curious how you did the front wheel. The only thing that might improve it would be a 2x2 black tile and two 1x1 tiles to cover the studs on the front.

Wow, thanks for all the interest in my little build, especially the addition to the front page! Here's a shot showing the front wheel assembly for those interested.

If anyone is interested I can see about making building instructions as well.

Very cool, I liked it so much I decided to make my own copy (I hope you don't mind). Most notably I added windows, front lights, a trunk, and extended the rear by 1 stud.

I couldn't find enough of those amber slope bricks, so it's a Police Edition. Once again, great idea!

Very cool BC Speed! Love the trunk lid. I experimented with a few different ways of getting the mirrors on there but never found a way I really liked.

I'll get instructions of mine up very soon.

Hello!

When I read "Interceptor" I was expecting something very fast, but this here is even better. I guess it's pretty agile and can move faster through crowded cities than larger vehicles. :classic:

Cheers,

~ Christopher

Interestingly enough, they're actually very slow and hard to drive. :P
