    Building Cafe Corner via Bricklink

Can't believe I shunned these models when they were available. So now I'm biting the bullet and Bricklinking Café Corner. I've got about £120 in the project so far and am going to wait until those orders arrive before continuing. I went the Lego replacement parts route first and received a mail with a quote from them. This has got a few of the pricier parts out of the way! I have just begrudgingly paid £0.73 each for 36 X of the red slope on Bricklink but it was kind of important for me to keep that colour right. I'll be drawing the line with the doors and trying to get something as similar as possible. Dark blue arch etc....undecided. For the crazily priced windows I'll be following the advice on here and using 60598 and 60608. I can't wait to see the final model.....there's something very satisfying albeit expensive about doing it this way. I now own 2 X Fire Brigade and have Grand Emporium on the way. Pet Shop next. I'll be trying not to miss any in future.
  2. Bet you're not wrong, I'll get that one as well
  3. 10144 Sandcrawler. £200.00 from eBay, I've been waiting for this one a long time!

    Star Wars sets anyone?

Yes thanks I saw that via a link through Hothbricks. I've just put the Palace and the Skiff on backorder with them (the summer wave sets seem to have disappeared from the Lego site now anyway). Total price for the two including delivery was £107.00! Now I just wait in anticipation! Now the spending really has to stop, got sucked in and got 3 TC-14s and a Hulk with purchases recently!

    Star Wars sets anyone?

Just noticed new SW sets are now available on the UK Lego site - £119.99 for Jabba's Palace? It's gonna have to wait for a bit

    TC-14 Lego Promo

Just to add reassurance for any of you guys waiting . Despite the fact that I placed three orders and only received confirmation for two of them, I received shipping notice emails on three separate days. My first order arrived today so I am now the proud owner of a TC-14 figure and she's worth the wait! . Two more to come! Interestingly, the first order that I placed on May the fourth (be with you) was my UCS R2-D2 and this was the last to be shipped with that email only being received today. Hope you all get what you ordered eventually! I've had a bit of a mad Lego week and also have two Falcons (7190 & 7965) on the way via eBay and Bricklink. This is going to be a great building weekend for my son and I. I really should stop spending but the Hulk figure and Batski promotions are now calling!

Free Lego in The Sun is coming back.

Thank you for the tip, we'll give it a go!

Free Lego in The Sun is coming back.

I'm only really interested in the Batman ones! Can somone confirm please, I've never taken advantage of one of these promotions before. Is it a case of buying two copies of the Sun from WHSmith if I want two Batman figures? I hope the UK ones are the new mask design!

    TC-14 Lego Promo

Same here. I placed three orders just after midnight on the 4th and received email confirmation for only two of them. Today I received an email stating one order had been shipped. The other two still say "in process" on the site. I think perhaps that the demand has sent their systems somewhat haywire!
  11. Like your style. As soon as it's live in the UK, I'm on the case. Gotta get me a couple of those TC-14 figs!
  12. Couldn't decide whether to buy 7965 Millennium Falcon or the old 7190. So I bought both via eBay/Bricklink! Combined about £140. I await in anticipation for their arrivals! Strangely I'm looking forward to the original version more My brother has the UCS but I'm afraid that's now out of my league so I thought, why not get two?

    Problems with superheroes parts ?

I had a similar issue with minifigures in some of the Batman sets. I sent an email to Lego via the customer service link and received a reply with an apology a couple of days later. Replacement parts were sent and I got them after a few days! Give it ago, I'm sure they'll help you out.

Review: 6857 - The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape

Thanks for the great review .I Have just taken delivery of all the new Batman sets and in my opinion the quality of some of the minifigures is not quite good enough I'm afraid. I'm particularly disappointed with the face print quality on my two-face figure. It is very very faded and almost looks like a counterfeit! The torso of the black Batman in this set is also faded. I have several of all the Batman figures including one of the SDCC ones and it doesn't compare too well to any of those. I'm just finishing this set off then I've the Batwing to build and check the figures, then I'll be dropping Lego customer services a line. I do hope this isn't the shape of things to come because in the past I've always been delighted with my purchases from Lego and have getting on for 1000 minifigures, mostly licenced and it's the first time I've come across this problem. On the positive side, I'm delighted to see the Batman line return, I do like the sets and I'm sure Lego will help and I will report back if anyone is interested.
