The King would be pleased. The arrows found their mark. The patrolmen had done a good job. If they had been remotely capable of compassion, they would have shed a tear for the last Salamander. But they weren't. And in that part of Kaliphlin, the Keepers of the Peace do not talk of shooting fish in a barrel, they talk of shooting salamanders in a canyon.
