Brickshelf find: Caribbean Rush Hour

Recommended Posts

OK, that's enough brickshelf...

No, no! As we say here: "You're grand", though I'm not sure how well that translates... even into standard english :-D

God Bless,

Nathan

Lets stretch the browser window for all those with low resolutions...

Now this is one rush hour I wouldn't mind to be in

And remember Hobbes, there is never such thing as too much Brickshelf. Well not in this forum anyway. We'll lap it up lovingly like little lost sea lions.

No it is a crocodile, dolphin, and shark coexisting in a small enviroment...one of nature's many wonders.

Here's another image...

A few more close ups wouldn't go astray so we could get a better look at what's going on...

You voted for castle so therefore you don't deserve any of them! I however, dedicated to the pirates deserve every single one of them!

I think that one is a bit overrated myself... I wrote a review about it on PirateBricks.com - I must remember to post that review here sometime.

Yes, please do! This is one of my all time fav pirate sets... and would be pretty high in my overall Lego ranking as well...

Yes, that we can!

Anyway, back to the current topic. Does anybody (namely Hobbes) know why Caribbean Rush Hour was created? There looks to be too much Pirate LEGO for any one person to own, unless they're me, so which event was this created for?

And is Caribbean Rush Hour its official name, or is that what Hobbes come up with? Very effective name either way...

i guess it's an event where a few people decide to build one moc, in this case, they most likely created a fleet by combining all their ships...

I don't know why it was created. I just found it surfing around brickshelf. Looks like a club event of some sort.

As for the name: I came up with it. That's what came to my mind first thing I saw it :)

LEGOworld in Zwolle, Holland I guess, I was there in 2004 so I saw it, I was hours spending on looking at it, there was also a lengthend(how do you write it!) 7075 in a bowl of water. Very big collection really cool. I regret that I forgot my camera! I see a vague logo on the paper on the table, it looks like the '''De bouwsteen'' logo...

Is that a bit of envy there Phes? His collection isn't THAT big. I only count maybe 8 ships. I've got nearly twice that scattered around my longeroom. Wouldn't mind having them all set out like that though. Pity blue baseplates are hard to find and bloody expensive.

This week, Legoworld Zwolle is coming up again. I actually pre-applied for a day off from work just to go there. I plan to search for pirates and raised baseplates mainly.

I only have 5 ships now, 2 BSBs (not the legend), 1 SES, 1 Armada Flagship (6280) and 1 Spaniard Ship (6291). I am looking for the smaller sets such as the 2 Clippers, the Imperial Flagship and the Renegade Runner now. I might be tempted to get a Red Beard Runner but still I do not like it that much. In case I get it, it will be for adding to my collection only and then it must be a sealed one so I won't be forced to build it for real. It looks really ugly to me, sorry to say but hey, freedom of speech is something well fought for!

I suppose you've got a point, I've got 7 ships crammed onto a small shelf above the monitor of the computer I'm using and to the left of me is two Caribbean Clippers sitting on the two MISB Black Seas Barracuda Legends... And that's only what I have in visual range...

Exactly what is this Legoworld Zwolle?

Your MISB is quite impressive, I've been reading your list in the Which Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have? thread

Going a bit off topic: who is going to legoworld this year? A very small chance that I'm going this year, I went to it last year and in 2004....
