Ello all, been a while since I've posted an MOC here.

Over this weekend, I've been working on a studfull build (haven't built like this for a long time)

My aim was to make a small-mid scale rod, with realistic functions.

It contains:

4 speed gearbox

v6 fake engine

Cowl steering (HOG)

Not to mention the 'gothic' shredded interior.

However, before I start the main bodywork, it's just that when I look at it so far, it doesn't seem right...

Edit: @Jim - Thank you for the tip - I have resized them all to a max width of 1000, which should be fine!

What do you guys think? - What's that thing that isn't right, or anything to improve?

(Will post progress here too) - I will be finishing the build definitely!

Thanks! - Enderman

I like it, and I'm looking forward to seeing the completed model. Are you going to add a firewall between the cabin and the engine, and sides/doors? Those might make it look more finished. And / or maybe a roof, though there are certainly roofless rat rods.

Ah, no they aren't secure, I've been thinking of just taking them down, they don't really add much to the design.

If you guys don't see anything wrong with it, I guess I'll start the bodywork then!

I'll keep y'all posted!

Looks promising!

Would it be possible to embed some of the pictures next time? It will be easier for the members to see what you are building, instead of needing to open a second page. Not sure if imgur can resize picture for you, but make sure to embed with a maximum width of 1024 pixels.

An hour or so, and 2 cups of tea later...

Progress has been made. I've added the firewall (pics below - haven't embedded yet, will do later)

You also get a bonus sentry gun x)

Does anyone think the firewall is 2 studs too wide? I think I should reduce it in by 1 on each side. What do y'all think?

Thanks! - Enderman

Doors = Done!

Do yo'all reckon I should leave it with an open top? I'll add a windshield ofcourse.

Or, do you think having hard top would suit it?

Nice! I say add the windshield first and see how it looks with an open top. Either open or closed would look good, I think.

If I was doing hard top,I'd most likely build it using SNOT techniques - Don't want all those studs - issue is, i'm quite limited on black pieces

I'll start building and see where it takes me

Sweet!

Great overall hotrod look. What are you going to do to make it a ratrod instead of a hotrod?

Btw, I just see only one thing wrong with this car...

Very nice! It ended up looking a lot sleeker and more finished than I expected for a rat rod.
