Hello ladies and gentlemen, Scallywags and Captains, Sewer rats and natives! Welcome to a special Edition of EB News presents, Why special? Because our victim guest is limited to viewing the pirate forum, so it must be posted here. Also it is EB News's 45th Episode, and it is done live, via chat instead of the usual PM System. Expect some lair (Sorry, mister Phes has informed me he has Headquaters) HQ pics to be added soon.  Unfortunaltey, I had to fill in for Imperial Shadows again , because he is reconstructing his PC, good luck with that, get it done fast! We miss ya  :pir-cry_sad:

NOTE - Do not move this to Community as otherwise Mister Phes will not be able to see it.

Mister Phes: Ok, let's begin the interview
Mister Phes: Why do you call yourself Strauder?
Mister Phes: And why has your name become Straudie in the space of 6 minutes?

Staudie: Well, my surname is stauder, and s-HEEEEY!
Staudie: I set it to automatically update itself, but it doesnt seem to be working...

Mister Phes: Are you wearing nice deoderant?
Staudie: Yes... yes I am...
Mister Phes: Well that's marvellous!
Staudie: Now, Welcome to EB news Presents Mister Phes. How does it feel to be the first live interview?
Mister Phes: When conducting an interview you should always smell nice
Mister Phes: It feels like the bluebird of happiness has swooped down and carried me away

Staudie: Also sorry about you spending the past months behind the dumpster forming a primitve society because
Staudie: I forgot to tell security to let you in...

Mister Phes: Well what kind of host are you?
Mister Phes: Do you have no shame lad?
Mister Phes: Yes, the fresh air was nice but it was getting cold
Mister Phes: And ice was beginning to forum on my rapier
Mister Phes: When those things get ice of them they go rusty

Staudie: Who is asking the questions here?
Mister Phes: It appears we both are
Staudie: So it does...
Mister Phes: So if you like, I'll ask the questions
Staudie: Ok, time to start.
Staudie: Wait what?

Mister Phes: I thought we had already started
Mister Phes: I hope you're getting all this
Mister Phes: It'll be a guarenteed ratings booster

Staudie: I am.. Kind of...
Staudie: Yeah... if you ever actually answer the first question...

Mister Phes: I've answered all the questions you've asked so far
Staudie:  :-/
Staudie: Fair enough...

Mister Phes: I thought you'd run so I took over
Mister Phes: Ooooooooo! This has smileys too?
Mister Phes:  :D
<- A importaint time in the history of Phes, the discovery of the smilie.
Staudie: Yes...
Mister Phes: Now, how many interviews have you conducted?
Staudie: So, Why the name Mister Phes?
Staudie: 20 in the first season of EB news
Staudie: 23 in the second season
Staudie: and 1 review.

Mister Phes: Well why not Mister Phes?
Mister Phes: My full name is the Illustrious Mister Phes but I think that's too long for some people
Mister Phes: So I shorten it to Mister Phes

Staudie: Go on...
Staudie: Shadows whould have given up at this point...

Mister Phes: Well I don't go any further with the shortening, but some shorten it even further to Phes...
Staudie: Ok, What actually got you into lego all those years ago?
Mister Phes: Well, who is better - you or Shadows? =P
Staudie: I think you would have annoyed him away by now...
Mister Phes: Once upon a time when I was a young laddie I was in Kmart
Staudie: That or all the AFOLs are like this and they just pretend to be serious so they can make fun of
Staudie: TFOLs... Conspiracy!

Mister Phes: I was browsing through the toy section when something caught my interest
Staudie: Was it a nickle on the floor?
Mister Phes: It was a box... With a little pirate digging up a treasure chest with a monkey hanging off the side
Mister Phes: No, it's highly unlikely that a nickle would ever be on the floor in this part of the world
Mister Phes: I picked up the box and examined it
Mister Phes: It immediately captured my imagination
Mister Phes: Everything about it seemed so inspiring
Mister Phes: The photography... The artwork...
Mister Phes: I just had to have it
Mister Phes: And it was only $4 so I could afford it
Mister Phes: And that's how it began...
Mister Phes: One small set
Mister Phes: Soon lead to another small set
Mister Phes: And another...
Mister Phes: And another...

Staudie: Have you considered writing a book?
Mister Phes: Until I decided it was time to save for something slightly larger
Mister Phes: What makes you think I don't already write books?

Staudie: Before you say it, let me get a mop, i am droolig over here...
Staudie: Well you definatley are chatty.... i WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF YOU WRITE BOOKS
Staudie: Damn capslock...

Mister Phes: Did you know your CAPS LOCK is turned on?
Staudie: Yes...
Staudie: I was too lazy to re-write it without the capslock

Mister Phes: SOME PEOPLE THINK WRITING IN CAPITAL LETTERS IS SHOUTING
Mister Phes: NOW WHY MIGHT THAT BE?

Staudie: Your standing on a trapdoor...
Mister Phes: I thought you might be some kind of psychopath and therefore I'd need to make a quick exit
Staudie: More like a Garbage disposal...
Mister Phes: No, it's connected to a slippery slide
Mister Phes: I paid good money for that
Mister Phes: Titanium

Staudie: For some reason the whole section of useless staff fell down there... Never found them... We did get
Staudie: this great non-dairy creamer tough...

Mister Phes: Now were you conducting an intereview?
Mister Phes: You don't seem to be taking the lead

Staudie: Woof!
Mister Phes: Some interviewee are such loose cannons
Mister Phes: They fire off in all directions

Staudie: Ok, Next question, What is your all time favourite theme, and anything you would like to share with
Staudie: us about it.

Mister Phes: Now was there a question 2?
Mister Phes: Hmmm...
Mister Phes: My favourite theme....
Mister Phes: Now that's a tough one...
Mister Phes: There's so many exciting themes to choose from

Staudie: This is why we don't do live interviews...
Mister Phes: I would have to be Galidor!
Mister Phes: But if it wasn't live I'd never get round to answering the questions

Staudie: *Sound of brain trying to make me gnaw my leg off to escape*
Staudie: Ohh... it's lunch time over here sooon....
Staudie: Good Excuse...

Mister Phes: Excuse?
Mister Phes: There are no excuses here laddie

28 Jul 08, 12:11
Staudie: Ok... Lunch time... I will be back in bout 15 minutes...
28 Jul 08, 12:24
Staudie: Back
Mister Phes: Most excelelnt!
Mister Phes: Now, back to business

Staudie: So, your favourite theme is pirates yes?
Mister Phes: Absolutely! How did you guess that?
Staudie: You are also wearing a matching pair of socks!
Mister Phes: Brilliant deducation, I must remember to hire you some time...
Staudie: Ok, what would your 3 favourite sets be?
Staudie: On a side note, Shadows is gonna have hell editing this...
On a side note staudie actually edited this...
Mister Phes: No, it will be a joy for him. He'll love it and he must remember the JULY NEWSLETTER
Staudie: Subtle arent we?
Mister Phes: I don't know about you, but I'm certainly not
Mister Phes: Three favourite sets
Mister Phes: 6281 Pirates Perilious Pitfall would have to be number one
Mister Phes: 6235 Buried Treasure would be second
Mister Phes: and 6267 Lagoon Lockup would be third
Mister Phes: Next question!

Staudie: Ok next question, have you ever attended a EB meet? If so, how can you describe the rest of the
Staudie: nutjobs on the site?
Staudie: Uhh... Members...

Mister Phes: Ummm... What's an "EB meet"?
Mister Phes: But I can assure you there's many nutjobs on the site
Mister Phes: There's a nutjob interviewing a nutjob right now...
Mister Phes: But don't tell them I said that

Staudie: Ok... Moving on...
Staudie: What is your all time best Lego related moment?

Mister Phes: I think the day that I discovered Pirate LEGO was probably the best
Mister Phes: It just gave me this feeling of intrigue... Excitement... and Creativity...

Staudie: Uhuh...
Mister Phes: It's hard to explain the sensation in words, but it felt really nice
Mister Phes: You don't seem sincerely interested in my answer there

Staudie: I am adding you to the list of people that can replace ImperialShadows...
Mister Phes: Replace ImperialShadows?
Mister Phes: What for?

Staudie: He's a laz-busy man...
Staudie: Ok, next question, your moment of glory on EB would be?

Mister Phes: Moment of glory on Eurobricks?
Mister Phes: I think the day the Pirate Forum created was the most glorious moment
Mister Phes: Finally a place for Pirate LEGO fanatics to congregate and discuss their interest
Mister Phes: Before the Pirate Forum there wasn't really anywhere
Mister Phes: Sure LUGNET had a Pirate section

Staudie: Aha! Also I just noticed you have the title "Weekend warrior" mind explaining?
Mister Phes: Well there's a story behind that
Mister Phes: I'd have to be quite chatty
Mister Phes: Do you think you can handle it?

Staudie: Yeah
Mister Phes: Well, I'd reached a point where I was spending too much on Eurobricks
Mister Phes: and I was achieving in other areas
Mister Phes: So I thought the best thing to do was resign
Mister Phes: And I did!
Mister Phes: Made myself a normal user
Mister Phes: Just like that

Staudie: Wait... Your normal? We cant have that! Get the F**K out of my office!
Mister Phes: But apparently there is nobody else in the world who could replace me
Mister Phes: Yes, I was a Eurobricks Grand Duke
Mister Phes: Well for about a week

Staudie: Oh right... I tought your story was over...
Mister Phes: So the other administrators and I came to a compromised
Staudie: What powers does a Grand Duke have? I belive this was never explained.
Mister Phes: And that compromise was I would only have access to the Pirate forum
Mister Phes: A Grand Duke is a user group for users with over 5,000 posts

Staudie: Whaaa? You cant see any other forums?
Mister Phes: Nope
Mister Phes: None
Mister Phes: Just the Pirate Forum
Mister Phes: This frees up enough time to continue to maintain the Pirate Forum
Mister Phes: So now I don't have to resign

Staudie: Well, I guess that means you cant see any interviews we have done... GREAT! That means we can mock
Staudie: you and get away with it!

Mister Phes: Yes, you can
Mister Phes: You can dishonerably defame me and I'll be none the wiser
Mister Phes: Very a very admirable act

Staudie: Yes, I can
Staudie: My job is gettin easyer and easyer...

Mister Phes: Next the interviews will write themselves!
28 Jul 08, 12:52
Staudie: Ok, what do you think about the way TLC is heading this year?
Staudie: Phes?

28 Jul 08, 12:55
Staudie: Houston we lost Phes!
Mister Phes: I better answer this carefully in case you're one of their secret agents!
Mister Phes: You might report my answer back to them!

Staudie: Yey! We have phes back!
Staudie: Or at least to Copmike...

Mister Phes: And they might assassainate me
Mister Phes: But more seriously, I'm quite pleased with the 2008 LEGO products
Mister Phes: I've actually purchased some of this year's sets

Staudie: Or liquidate you... I love that word... Liquidate.. Tee-hee...
Mister Phes: I haven't purchased a new LEGO set since 1993
Staudie: Whaaat?
Staudie: You are kidding right?
Staudie: Wow, people realy dont know anything about you...

Mister Phes: Right
Mister Phes: Well...
Mister Phes: No, I'm not kidding

Staudie: Your creepin me out man! It's not contageous is it?
Mister Phes: I purchased my last set before entering my Dark Age in 1993
Mister Phes: Stop being a wuss
Mister Phes: I need to be interview by a man
Mister Phes: A brave man!

Staudie: ACID! My kingdom for a acid bath!
Staudie: Yeah well good luck...
Staudie: Ok, what sets would you like to see TLC prooduce in the future?

Mister Phes: They shouldn't produce any future sets and that would save me money!
Mister Phes: But if they really must
Mister Phes: Then they should give the Pirate fanatics what they want!

Staudie: *Starts typing PM to copmike*
Mister Phes: Yes, do contact him
28 Jul 08, 13:03
Mister Phes: I'm about to elaborate
Mister Phes: The LEGO Group should really expand upon the Imperial Armada theme
Mister Phes: or sub-theme
Mister Phes: There needs to be a huge Spanish Fortress on a 48 x 32 baseplate
Mister Phes: There needs to be proper galleons, bigger than the Black Seas Barracudda and Skulls Eye Schooner
Mister Phes: There needs to be non pirate and military based sets
Mister Phes: We determined in the Pirate Forum a while back it would be nice to see a Dutch Merchants theme
Mister Phes: Focusing the commercial and colonial aspects of life around the time of the golden age of piracy
Mister Phes: Also smaller ships with brickbuilt hulls like the one found in the Imperial Trading Post
Mister Phes: Is that enough? Or do you need more?

Staudie: That's good
Staudie: a few last questions
Staudie: Am I annoying?

Mister Phes: You're not running out are you?
Staudie: Why are you enjoying this?
Mister Phes: Of course
Mister Phes: This is the most fun I've ever had in an interview

Staudie: This aint youf first is it?
Mister Phes: So what happened with the chat history on Cbox?
Mister Phes: I notice the buffer only goes back as far as 13:03

Staudie: It gets deleted after a certain litmit, dont worry I got it all arhived
Staudie: oh right that
Staudie: go to the top, it says "Older Messages"

Mister Phes: I don't have that on my end
Mister Phes: But never mind!

Mister Phes: On with the intereview!
Staudie: Try at the bottom of the messages
Mister Phes: Not there ethier
Mister Phes: Doesn't matter
Mister Phes: Continue

Staudie: Oh well, i will PM you the whole thing if you want
Staudie: So, Am I annyoing?

Mister Phes: Not as annoying as me!
Mister Phes: I really should give you some lessons

Staudie: Brutally honest...
Mister Phes: How do you know I'm not lying?
Staudie: Your not. I know how annoying I am.
Mister Phes: You sure?
Staudie: Quite
Staudie: What ye think of this
Staudie: http://farm3.static...._15999d57b5.jpg

Staudie: http://farm3.static...._e5c2b35030.jpg
He wanted to enter it into the pirate contest a while ago...
Mister Phes: A mobile vignette! It's ingenius!
Staudie: Ok, Who should be next in the hot seat?
Staudie: If you can talk boneparte to sit in it, I would be very happy...

Mister Phes: I shall command him to!
Staudie: Yey! He seems to be avioding me...
Mister Phes: He might think you're annoying
Staudie: Shaddup...
Staudie: Ok, last question, Anything you'd like to say to the rest of eurobricks?
Mister Phes: Yes
Mister Phes: Pay me lots of money damn you!

Staudie: Ok... I suppose that concludes this episode of EB news Presents...
Staudie: This edition will be posted in the pirate forum so you can see it.
Staudie: Now, as Ras would say, GET THE F**K OUT OF MY OFFICE!
Staudie: Cya

I've only read a few EB News(es?) but I haven't commented on any of them...  :pir-oh:
Anyway, this interview is hilarious, the best yet! It's even crazier when it's done live.  :pir-laugh:
I don't get the bit about only seeing the Pirate forum. Why?  :pir_wacko:

Off Topic: Woo! Now I'm a Knight!  :pir-sweet:

Mr.Phes is limited to only viewing the pirate forum. Ie - The other forums are litterlay invisble to him.
Also, I mentioned that this would be hell to edit for shadows... Well It was hell alright, but I did the editing. This is more or less the original expet the times are cut out (most of them anyway) and the colours are added.

What a great, and interesting, interview!

It's a bit unfortunate that Mister Phes can only see the pirate forum, but I guess it's all for the best!

Mister Phes was spending a lot of his time on Eurobricks on matters that are not directly linked with the Pirate forum. He wanted to refocus on Pirates. To help him avoid being distracted from pirates he's restricted to the pirates forum and the Eurobricks headlines. This is on his own request! And being an admin he can change his viewing permissions at any time should he choose to do so.

I hope this clarifies this mystery  :pir-classic:

Staudie, that is an amazing fast interview!  :pir-laugh:

I am glad you have pulled Phes, to get an interview going. Really very nice, it's certainly looks very different, by using the "live" version. Keep up the good interviews.

Phes, it's nice to know a little more about you. Classic Pirates.

I must admit, this turned out very well!

You know, when I came on as editor/host/general harasser for EB News, I always pictured a day when Staudie would grow into the kind of interviewer who could produce the whole package in an entertaining and informative way, and this might be it.

Good job, kid!

I'm still surprised that Phes didn't kill you. Oh well, can't win 'em all. :jollyroger:

Shadows is looking for stalkers. Yep, you heard me right. CLICKY!

Great interview guys, or should I say, Staudie, utterly fantastic! The live version is hilarious! I think that this particular interviewee is one of the few that a live interview would work with however, I sure know I wouldn't have been able to handle it! :pir-tongue:

That's very interesting that your limited to the pirate forum. I suppose I wouldn't mind being limited to the H&A Forum, however then I miss out on any particularly interesting discussions elsewhere, as well as all the community stuff too! Come pack to us Phes! :pir-sing:

I suppose you have a lot of work to do here however, so your reason for limiting yourself is in itself to avoid distracting topics. I don't think I could really do that. :pir-grin:

Well, this has been fun, perhaps I should come visit this forum more often. Are there any dragons in pirates? No? Oh, well, doesn't matter. Perhaps a pirate ship that's shaped like a dragon? OK, a little wishful.  :pir-laugh: I do have a particular fondness for pirates though, it's just not as big as my love of castle. :pir-grin:

Right enough from me, if I can only see ya here Phes, I guess I better come back sometime and see what wacky things are going on!

Pirates ON! (But Dragons more ON!  :pir-wink: )

Huzzah for a new pirate line!
After all the rumours and little hints lately, i actually got my hope up for next year
:pir-blush:

I hope Shadows is back soon to editing this stuff again, reading was a pain..
Maybe some spaces here and there would help...
And is there anyway to listen to the live version? That'd be hilarious i think
:pir-grin:

Why do you need TLC to make sets for you, all you really need is parts...be creative!
