Howdy guys.

This is the project topic for my custom-made sets of The Return of the King. This is the last installment of this project - see above for the first two - and if you're looking for an explanation as to why I am where I am now, it can probably be found there. The creations below are built to be like sets that TLG themselves would make (ironic, huh?). Each one thus has specific minifigures, and even an imagined price point. My sets are built for stability, detail, playability, and differentiation of sizes. So, without further ado, let's get started!

Very much worth the wait - that set is both amazing and fairly realistic for LEGO to release. I would definitely buy this. :wub_drool: I can't wait to see what else you design.

Do you have a part count on it?

I was looking forward to this part and finally! First 'set' in the new line - and definetly the greatest one in the whole project) but about minifigs - in my opinion, there are too much of them for an 'official-like' set. Though they all are wonderful!

And the building itself... It's quite big for LEGO, too, in my opinion (at last it looks so at the first photo). Though it's a 'mini' view, like LEGO Hogwarts, it looks too tall. Maybe. it's because there are no catle sets with such price tag to compare... But I wish there will be an official Minash Tirith set, as large as your one.

Fantastic. TLC ought to give you a job as a designer right now. Your Minas tirith is exactly the size I am hoping TLC would make. Big but not that supersized a normal household couldn't afford a place for it. I can't say what I like most of it. Every single aspect of it seems perfect. Great job. Piece count and imagined price point?

A very good use of panels and rock pieces to get height into the model for a minimal brick count (and weight of ABS). It definitely looks like something that Lego could produce and sell; sufficiently detailed but still buildable. The modular aspect to the walls reminded me very much of Battle Of Alamut and the other modern castles which is a good thing. At first I thought that 12 minifigs was a little too many but actually given the size set that you're proposing and it's price point I'd probably agree that it's about right. Well done.

...oh my God, I want (I would) to buy this set!

Immediately!

The size of your Minas Tirith is perfect. The colors and the design are also perfect!

What do you think? How many bricks are in this set included? How expensive would this set be?

Unreal....... Both realisticly achievable as a Lego set and on a scale that would please most AFOLs. Well done!!!

Incredible work on Minas Tirith, it looks very accurate to the film yet still playable and not huge

The modularity is great, the nazgul is also very cool :classic:

This is by far your best set! Amazing! If this were an actual set, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! It's practically exactly what I was thinking of when I imagined how LEGO would make this set! Let's hope they do something as good as this! I love all the little rooms, reminds me of the most recent Hogwarts set.

Also, when should we expect to see the next set, and if you're unsure, could you hint at what it will be?

Love your Minas Tirith! Very much in line with what Lego would produce - though I would wish for something bigger. How many pieces does yours have?

You obviously took a cue from their own Helm's Deep in the scale, and wall construction.

Fantastic build, this must have taken quite some time to build. Well done!

Though I must say, I think it's too big and contains too many figures to be a realistic 'ordinary' LEGO set. Maybe a USC though.

Again, this set is amazing... only missing the tree of life

Agreed, it's a shame something as iconic as the tree is missing. But eh, he had to stop building somewhere.

Tree of Gondor. Sorry, I had to be the nerd who corrects this.

Though this is a very nice representation of Minas Tirith and the minifigs are all excellent, the whole scale of it kind of ruins the concept. In my opinion, if LEGO were ever to release a set based on Minas Tirith it would have to be a) a very large segment of it to minifig scale (or maybe system scale), or just something verty much like this, but without the figs. Very well done, though.

Fantastic work! If Lego comes anything close to this if/when they do a Minas Tirith set, I'll be very happy.
