Nebulon-B Frigate

Recommended Posts

indexed.gif

Here is my rendition of the Nebulon-B frigate from Star Wars Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi. I wanted to make a model of this ship because of its unique design. I included the Millennium Falcon docked to the underside. By the way, I know the engines aren't accurate, but it was as close as I could get.

Hey that's not bad! It's probably the best version I've seen. I'd just suggest more detail on the front of the engine section:

A really great moc!

I always enjoy to see peoples try at those Rebellion ships in different sizes.

Is this the final version, or will you try to make it more detailed?

I guess it will be very time consuming to do so.

Great job on this ship . I like how you've done the front section with all the parts sticking out just like on the real thing. However the back engine section could do with a few greebles too.

Great job!

I love the front section, the back could use the same kind of detail.

The basics of the back are already there.

Also the "corridor" that connects front and back is slightly bigger towards the end/back.

But hey who am I, I didnt build it, so it's really up to you. I already like it.

You seem to have a knack at building Rebel ships.

This is by far, the most accurate and detailed Nebulon-B Frigate that I have seen here on Eurobricks.

The front engine could use a tad bit more work, other than that though, its great

Good Job :classic:

Nice job. As some have said it's rather blocky. Maybe you can add some details or a few plates here and there especially on the plate prior to the start of the back body. But overall it's good the way it is.

On another note though... Why do B-Frigates have stick thin bodies? Is it even practical?

Very nice MOC.

You might be able to improve it a little more by using different colour strips on the body to create that "dirty/battle scar" look. Especially on the engine block. The engine block probably needs to be a smaller.

Its a great effort and one of the best I seen so far. Not an easy ship to MOC.

great but i guess the engine is too boxy?

The Nebulon is kinda boxy.

Nice MOC.

It's got space for improvements, but I must admit that I kinda like it the way it is.

All that room for interior in the back and what do you do with it! I demand you make this system scale! Blah!

Great job though, make an interior!

This is beautiful, particularly the mini Falcon you threw in. I'm not turned off by any boxiness.

No disrespect intended, because you have made a very commendable Nebulon B, but in all honesty, this one is about as good as they get.

For your version I'd suggest a bit more greebling on the back end, which will definitely take some of the boxiness off.

The one you linked is great and much more detailed but I give the thread starter props fo doing this. making MOC's isn't easy. Getting the dimensions right, and making it look even close to the original is great.

Indeed it needs some work but it is a great great start!

I say the same. the one linked to is a giant thing in comparison.

That was not the intension for sure.

The one linked to is really great, but in the scale that NerdFighter did, he made a good job.

Still a bit more details, and it would ROCK!

The one you linked to is pretty ridiculous, but it's at a different scale, which allows a lot more detailing. I think the OP here has been pretty successful for his scale.

This is one of my favorite Star Wars ship designs, and it's very difficult to make a lego version.

That said, you did a great job on it, although it looks like it should be a little more detailed, the overall shape is excellent. I also like the mini falcon docked to it.

Nice job.

I just disassembled this one. I have noted all the issues mentioned here, and I think that it will be too difficult to simply modify, so I am going to do a complete rebuild of this ship... just not immediately.

Overall, I'm pleased with this model as a first draft, but in the end it needs a lot of improvement, especially with the engine block.

Great job though, make an interior!

That was actually my original idea, but in the end it wasn't sturdy enough to be system scale. That's actually one of my least favorite parts of this model-- the engine block is too big because I originally designed it to hold minifigs.

Yay! I've been quoted! I'm sorry you had to take it apart, but I am definitely looking forward to your re-try at it! Once it can old minifdigs....ooooh.
