I'm sorry, boss. I was really busy this week.
Washed your hair?
And trimmed my nails.
Oh, well sure, that explains it then.
That said, it's going to be an hour of me, telling stories by the fireplace, just like I used to do before you all were born. Ah, the good old days. No electricity. No phones. No LEGO. 8-°
Maybe we'd better try this a different way...
STAUDIE!
*Staudie jumps up and salutes* SIR, YES SIR!
That's pretty good, I like that.
*Staudie grumbles*
WHAT WAS THAT? >:-(
NOTHING, SIR!
Now, here's what we're going to do. Go get one of those jeepy tanky wheely things you keep building and go find us someone to interview, and make it interesting!
YES SIR!
*Staudie runs off, hops in one of his tanks, and heads out into the night, with the camera crew close behind, but not too close since Staudie drives like a maniac*
For those of you who are listening to us on the radio *wacko* I'll give you a little description of the scene.
Well, let's see, that's LEGOLAND Blvd right near the park. That used to be some shrubbery before Staudie ran it over. That used to be a fountain. That used to be a park bench. That used to be ... ew. I'm not sure what that used to be. :-X
Come on Staudie, find someone!
I'm looking, boss! Hey, it's Hinckley and Sinner up ahead!
FULL REVERSE! BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES!
Oh no, they've seen me!
Ok, ok, act casual. Tell them you're out getting me some tea. Don't mention that the show is on.
*we see Hinckley and Sinner walk up to Staudie*
Good evening, lad.
Oh, uh, hi Mr. Hinckley, Mr. Sinner.
*Sinner starts tinkering with the tank engine*
What are you doing in town this evening? Don't you have a show to do?
Er, yeah, we've got it taken care of.
Hmmm... Shouldn't you be in the studio interviewing someone?
Oh, yeah, I better go!
HEY! WAIT!
W-w-w-w-w-what?
You dropped this. *hands Staudie a quarter*
T-t-t-t-t-t-anks.
Yeah, it's a nice tank. You've developed a stutter again.
It was horribly underpowered. I took care of that.
B-b-b-b-b-bye!
Weird kid.
Strewth! He hangs out with imperialshadows too much.
*Hinckley and Sinner walk into the Clam Cream Emporium and out of camera shot*
Nice work there. Subtle. :-|
*Staudie pulls away at 200mph*
WHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Looks like Sinner did a good job on that engine.
*people jump out of the way and small children start crying*
That's pretty much typical when he's driving anyway.
*Staudie crashes into the harbour and barely makes it out as the tank sinks*
THERE!
AAAAAHHHHHH! Don't do that!
Interview phred, he's nice!
Oh, ok!
*Staudie sloshes over towards phred, who looks a bit ... concerned*
May I interview you?
Reluctantly, yes :-P
Reluctantly? What, I'm not fun anymore? X-D
You used to be fun?
Q. Why the name and the cool (I think so) sigfig?
A. Well, my real name is Frederick, most ppl call me Fred, but my friends call me Phred. X-D
In high school, some friends and i changed the spelling of our names for fun, mine was the only one that stuck.
Around the same time, we also had our name spelled backwards.
So sometimes if 'phred' is taken as a username i'll use derhp (like at BL)
With my sigfig, i wanted a fig that was different from what other piratey types had and all the good piratey torsos were already taken by other EBers :-P
so i chose a none pirate torso but can still be used. (Lando on a desert skiff)
My sigfig's head is supposed to be me. I'm rarely clean shaven, and don't ever have a mustache to speak of.
That was a long answer. :-$
I have to wonder how different Fred and Phred are pronounced.
Q. How long have you collected lego? How old are you?
A. Since 1986 i've been collecting lego, my first 2 sets were 6378
Had my dark ages from 1996 to 1999 (high school).
I'm now 27 years old. X-D
You'll feel older after the interview. I always do.
Q. How is that big ship your building coming along?
A. It's coming along great.
When it's complete above the waterline, i'd love to go to brickworld in chicago and display it. X-D
When it's complete, it'll be about 7 ft long and 6 ft high. (or 2.15 m by 1.84 m X-D )
Q. What is your favourite Set? (Say top 3)
A. I'd say it's a tie between the Black Seas Barracuda and the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer. *y*
Then i like the Imperial Outpost.
Very nice choices!
Q. What is your Favourite Theme?
A. Guess *pirate*
Q. When is Talk Like a Pirate Day?
A. September 19th (every year)
Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment?
A. When my wife got me my UCS Imperial Star Destroyer for Christmas.
I love my wife. *wub*
Q. Best EB Moment?
A. When my brother was in EB too. (duke schunke)
He works too much now and doesn't want to play anymore. :'-(
My second favorite moment was when i became a pirate regulator X-D
I enjoy super powers :-P
Yeah, but those tights have got to go.
Q. If you could design a custom set, what would it be? Whatever you want. No 4+ sets please :-X
A. It'd be awesome if TLG made the HMS Sophie mini-fig scale. *y*
Jack Aubrey's first command in Master & Commander.
It's a 16 gun brig. It'd be about 76 studs long and 24 studs wide.
Thumb-link to images of the Sophie
Q. Why The title, "Master Index Builder" ?
A. Ahem *sad* That's New Master Index Builder!
I have the title cuz i keep most of the Indexes current with any new MOCs that are shared in the pirate forum.
Bonaparte is the original creator of the Ship, Land-based, and other indexes.
He put A LOT of work getting them set up *y*
And a fine job you've both done!
Q. Where do you keep your loot? can we see? (Ie Your lair)
A. In my lego room of course.
Oh I suppose i can share some pics. (kind of blurry though)

Q. What would you say is your best creation yet?
A. My favorite creation that i've completed so far is my French merchant ship that i made for the Pirate Halloween contests
Q. Am I annoying?
A. No, not yet. But we all have the potential to be annoying.
Staudie has a lot of potential.
Aw, that's sweet, boss.
Not too bright either.
*Staudie looks confused*
Q. What is your favourite (Real) Ship?
A. Definitely the USS Constitution.
In the war of 1812, the constitution was the first ship US to beat a british frigate and beat a small british frigate and a brig at the same time right after the end of the war.
(poor communication at the time)
Q. Who should we Interview Next?
A. Mr. Phes or Bonaparte
If they've already been asked, the ZCereberus
They are very busy gentlemen, but definitely being worked on.
Thanks for joining me, it's been a lot of fun!
I'm glad one of us enjoyed it.
Huh?
And that's another episode of EB News Presents! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed having Staudie out of the studio!
Until next week, I'm imperialshadows and he's not. X-D
