This Wolfpack minifig could be used as a thief.


This Tusken Raider torso from Star Wars could be used as well.


Emporer Palpatine's torso from this set could be used for some cave herimt.


Count Dooku's torso could also be used for something such as a privateer or maybe a herald/messanger.

Hello there! I wanted to ask this for quite some time , but I am looking for
a few torsos that aren't in the pirate theme. I have been wondering to buy some since im really not liking the new POTC torsos which are really the only pirate option.

Some of the torsons in the Indiana joens theme could pass for some generic background pirates in my opinion. The 2 guys from the Cairo set.

Couldn't you just swap the yellow arms and hands for fleshie ones? Hope this helps!

While it's possible in some occassions, unfortunately most of the PotC figs tend to have quite an amount of "fleshy" skin showing in their torsos. Some might not care about that, but I at least am quite pedantic about such matters. This leaves Elizabeth's torso, for example, somewhat useless, even if it's otherwise very nice one.

Yes i know you can do that , but lots of the torsos have fleshie chests showing. And it might sound stupid , but im just picky that way.

I think at the new torso from upcoming Alien Qonquests theme set Alien motherships commanders torso would make a very good addition on Pirates line, of course i havent seen the closeup shots from the torso so im not 100% sure, but it surely fits in army use!

I really liked the collectible minifig mime torso from series 2.  It makes a fine pirate with black arms, plus its cheap!

You don't have to get the full set; just go on Bricklink and you should be able to find what you need.

I know other people do this all the time (there are multiple examples of it in this thread already), but I'm a bit skittish about it myself. It's always been my understanding that although the hands, arms and legs can be easily removed from the parts pre-assembled in the factory, they're not really designed for it the way other bricks are designed to be put together and taken apart, and that doing so stresses the parts and can damage them; is this correct? I tend to consider removal of hands and so on to be damaging or at the very least modding elements, and not really in line with my purist approach...

Hello, all!

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but I did a search of the main Pirate index and found nothing, so here goes:

I got one of the garden gnomes from series 4 a good while back, just for fun, and while messing around with the parts I noticed something:

The Gnome's Torso:



looks rather similar to the Imperial Armada torsos....



...Of course you'll have to BL the morion helmets, but IMO, the combo works pretty good. I would have mentioned this earlier, but I only recently discovered Eurobricks.

Soooo.... What do you think?  Please forgive me if this has already been brought up.

Well...  Uhhhh...  Both torsos are red and have belts...  But that's kind of where the simularities end.

The gnome torso doesn't look very militant but if you were desperate to expand your Imperial Armada army, it might be better than nothing.

But the torso can be used for a normal seaman or sailor. For this it fits very well and an imperial ship has not only soldiers.

If you are a purist, then this won't work, but I saw from another source that using a yellow sharpie permanent marker will almost match the standard yellow perfectly. But you have to be willing to "paint." I have made a yellow Jack Sparrow doing that and plan on doing other common flesh figures to see how it looks. I have a dozen Sparrows so if it messed up it wouldn't have been missed. Anyway, just a thought.

Wow, that sounds like an awesome idea! I've been wanting to use the POTC torsos for my yellow figs but I have been unable to do so due to the fleshy skin showing.
What kind of marker do you use? =P

These guys from Cario Ambush 7195 are great for Mameluke Cavalry or Barbary pirates.

the bottom ones with the blue white stripe i thought would make great french sailors with the classic blue white stripe sailor shirts anyone know the code on them?

i have used many of the ones that have already ben shown in an ESPG and they worked well thanx for people posting other ideas to add. also the new sponge bob set flying dutchman his torso and hat will be great

Hiawatha: Yeah, the Indiana Jones Arabs and the various figs from the Prince of Persia line would be great for Barbary Coast MOCs (throw in some blue-uniformed US Marines and you could have the invasion of Tripoli :D)
