The soldiers shifted about uneasily. "Are we there yet?" queried one, for the thousandth time. "Get your head back under the hay!" responded the driver - another soldier in disguise - who was doing his best to keep the wagon from falling off the drawbridge into the water.

Thankfully, however, the guards on the walls were quite oblivious to all that was taking place beneath them, and the soldiers entered Ras-El-Akhen unchallenged.

Unfortunately I'm very busy today besides being rather under the weather, so this is just a temporary picture, expect better shots and a bit more of a storyline on Monday!

Hopefully you get the idea; the Ulandians are sneaking into Ras-el-Akhen in a wagon load of hay!

Haha, i was building about 3 hours on my Gatehouse-Version till now (time for bed), now I see yours and mine can't be more different ;) turned out much more oriental.

But I think the idea counts. Prepare for doubled Guerilla High Council, uploading tomorrow! Hopefully ;))

But on K19 you are miles over miles away from Ras El Akhen :head_back:

You may should substract 10 squares.

K19 is a Ulandus square, I think you mean K12? Nice build, this was one of my ideas for the WZ6. I really like your sloped walls,

Great idea and cool wagon + load (although the wheels should probably be placed a bit further forward to carry the load - right now a lot of it is on those poor animals :tongue: )

The bastion above the gate is looking a little whimsical, and I wonder where the rest of the portcullis is hiding... :wink: However, your drawbridge and landscaping is nice, and for someone under the weather and in a hurry, this is pretty awesome! :thumbup:

Great wall design and landscape, the sloping sections are nicely integrated :thumbup: I have to agree with Bregir, that the section over the portcullis looks a bit rough, but I imagine you just ran out of time :classic:

The gatehouse, drawbridge and roadbed all look very good. The vegetation is a bit sparse but I like the dark green. The water looks like...copper sulfate, really (maybe it is! fall in and you're soon blind, burning all over and possibly dead!) I agree with Bregir - those cows would be carrying the brunt of the load with the wheels set so far back. But the heads peaking out - especially their expressions - gave me a good laugh!

My main complaint is the portcullis wouldn't exist in that regard. It would have no vertical space to go up to open (fyi).

But I really like the rest of it! Keep up the good work.

Thanks Captain Dee! I certainly agree that a technique for water would look far better, but unfortunately it is all I can do at the moment (the worst part is that I have plenty of trans-blue, light-trans-blue, and trans-clear, but they are all about 5,000 miles away :facepalm::laugh:)

Thanks TLD! I was planning to build a far better part on top of the entrance, but came down with a nasty cold and had to finish it as best I could... I was thinking about leaving the portcullis out, but decided to include it since it really looked too empty without it :wink:

Great work Garm, I really love this castle style you've been developing lately. The way the bottom castle walls are slanted is a small but fantastic touch. Also, superb idea with the soldiers hiding in the hay! :thumbup:

The landscaping is good too, but I think it would have stood out a little more if the ground had been built up more and given the bridge a bit more height over the river. In any case, sweet build!
